>Aug 20 (Reuters) - State Street (STT.N), opens new tab is partnering with Swiss crypto company Taurus to offer new digital asset services, including turning real-world assets into tradeable tokens, to tap growing institutional demand for such investments, the U.S. financial services provider told Reuters.
>As cryptocurrencies have spread in the financial system through regulated products including futures and exchange-traded funds, they are drawing more interest from institutions seeking ways to hedge inflation and diversify portfolios.

"The price of what, sir?" It's ma'am I replied. And at a McDonalds when I finished my order they told me the price, but I told them to check again. They repeated the same price, but was it really the actual price? It wasn't, I shook my head and gave my wife's son his nuggets. CCIP went live in July of 2023. Entered public access in April 2024. This was 3 years after it being late, 3 years after you were told over and over again it would be the standard.

130 projects are live. With most going live within the past 6 months (since public). Transactions are down each and every single month since it went "public".

With all of these "live" customers, 99% of the transactions come from the same 4 addresses as it did 6 months ago.

There are no financial institutions. Are you so retarded that you think a protocol that is 3 years late, underdelivers on its promises, and fails to capture defi is going to somehow magically capture tradfi? Please explain this logic to me, I'd love to hear it.

Great digging anon
https://www.taurushq.com/blog/deutsche-bank-and-taurus-sign-a-global-partnership/

I think this does prove that chainlink is doing a good job of entrenching itself as the RWA/tokenized asset access point of choice for large financial institutions and banks.

I maintain that news won't pump the price anymore. Long term building, results, and ultimately heavy mainnet usage may though. And if/when it does, then this news will look obvious in hindsight that link was bound to go up.

But even with that said, I remain a little bit skeptical of any major price action. I hope I'm massively wrong and we take the fuck off but I can't shake the fear that link is stuck, based on how long it's been performing miserably with respect to speculative piles of shit, meme tokens, etc.

I agree about the rest of the market being a joke and largely surviving on sunk cost and complex market manipulation, but the entire reason that LINK is so popular here is precisely because it does have genuine institutional backing.
The price of the token hasn't increased because none of these systems are currently "online" at the institutional level.

Bingo. I don't know much but I know this is a fact. DTCC = 2.5 quadrillion
Swift = 150 trillion
Not even in the same ballpark. Obviously we want both to work, and swift will most likely be first and what gets us over the $100 mark, but $81,000 is entirely reliant on DTCC.

It basically represents automation of the financial services industry. Due to the amount of money involved, it isn't going to happen overnight, but it's in the process of changing.
It solves a lot of problems that the financial institutions are going to see going forward, mainly in regards to security and data. As people become less competent and more untrustworthy, you need systems in place to remove the human element from the process.
If course it's a slow process, but if it initially goes well and shows its value, it will quickly gain pace.

for the people who don't get it, that anon probably holds more link than you do. it is organic just not in the sense you're thinking. this forum, and this website in general, is full of mentally ill losers whose primary personality trait is hating other people for liking what they like. the same exact behavior is exhibited on every other board, where people will feign dislike of their own hobbies/interests purely to push normalfags away, because to the average channer (and they're not entirely wrong on this), normalfags ruin everything.

extrapolate this to something they have financial skin in the game with, and this behavior is only going to get worse. but its no different than for example, shazzam posting on /v/, if you honestly think those types hate fromsoft games or whatever they are currently 'fudding' you don't get the board culture.
