Here’s what I don’t understand. DFV was obviously able to time the cycles with laser like precision before. So how did he get this one so wrong?

GME was hovering around $28 at the time of his 4 million share purchase and Dune sand worm tweet. The price dipped to $23 after and slowly crawled up to $29. In comparison, Ryan’s much smaller purchases were able to make the price move 15-20% in a single day.

I’m always skeptical of hype dates and I get that we’ve been burned before with previous retail hype dates. But this is DFV and it was a significantly large purchase, and he followed up with added pressure to XRT with Chewy, and I won’t speculate about KOSS or DJT but the meme stock basket was acting funny today the least.

Am I supposed to believe that market makers are able to consistently get out of their obligations no matter what or that they somehow delivered his FTD quietly without moving the price at all but at the same time they failed to do so earlier in the year when DFV made several moves similar this one to much success followed by extreme price volatility?
