I hope he dies. He screwed us all over so badly. The number one people who believed in him. He is a man of low moral character, probably an actual sociopath.

>Yes he wants to make 4chan rich lmao
No he doesn't care about his investors shown undeniably through the years of token dumping

>> No.58718194

He always made it clear that the purpose of the token was primarily to raise funds to cover development costs, sort of like BAT. And even then, it went up like 250x from the ICO price.

People assuming he wouldn’t talk about the token as an investment to cover his own ass from regulators is not his fault. His token allocation exists to be market dumped to cover expenses for Chainlink Labs the company, which he owns and token holders have nothing to do with

>>58718194
Also, this should have been clear to everybody by now, considering they had to try really, really hard to find a half-assed reason for the token to have an actual reason to exist beyond acting as a funding mechanism, and any usecases still haven’t been implemented after 7 whole years. He didn’t scam you. You scammed yourself

its unironically not even really his fault. the banks are massive pussies and won't jump in. they're arrogant and think they don't need to act with urgency

The primary usecase of the token was always to pay the nodes.
See pic from the first white paper.
And this usecase has been implemented since mainnet in May of 2019, over five years ago.

Cope and seethe.

Need I say more? If you guys invested in Solana last year, even at 30-50 bucks a pop most of you would’ve made it by now or 25.

Isn’t that just Chainlink Labs using their LINK reserves to pay node operators manually? If yes, that’s not a usecase. If I’m wront which I may very well be, then aproximately how many LINK tokens are used per week to pay node operators?

Not trying to fud, but genuinely curious. LINK is one of like 4 projects in the top 100 that arent outright scams so I would prefer if the token had value

Part of it yes. Just like Bitcoin miners are 95% paid out of the BTC reserves.

Bitcoin miners are paid tx fees and potentially blocks from helping secure the network. There’s no reserves and certainly no centralized corporation subsidizing miners by sending them free bitcoin as a thank you.
Chainlink Labs may as well pay node operators in Pepe tokens. It’s the same thing, and that still wouldn’t mean Pepe gained a usecase.

Are there any plans to move away from manual subsidizing of node operators and get people/corporations to spend their LINK tokens? The point of smart contracts is to automate things like that

>Bitcoin miners are paid tx fees
Yes, on average 5% of their rewards are tx fees.

>certainly no centralized corporation subsidizing miners by sending them free bitcoin as a thank you
That is literally what is happening with the subsidization.

it would have been fine if they weren't trying to make the token look like it had any other value than being sold for dollars. but that's what they are doing, trying to make it look like a worthwhile investment while dancing around the "investment" part to dodge securities regulations. ultimately, sergey is responsible for this decision
