Let's say you make it in crypto and you have a couple million dollars that you want to cash out. Let's say you don't necessarily want to avoid paying taxes, but you are afraid of the gubmint and (((AML procedures))) holding it up, maybe even indefinitely. The money would originally come from completely legimitate sources, but be gained by gambling on shitcoins, so you want to avoid all the trouble of explaining what happened when, on what exchanges, if they were registered etc. What would (You) do to get your money ASAP?

Go to an accountant. Unless you want mentally ill poorfags with a 4-figure port telling you what to do with your 2m.

What's the name of this anime character with the prawns/shrimps?

Cash out to USDT so there's no wild fluctuations if you hit any delays, and go through your normal process to withdraw. I don't know of any reason why things would be held up "indefinitely", but if it's held up you always have the blockchain to track things and answer any questions. If you have a KYC account where you've already deposited and withdrawn money I wouldn't expect there to be any problem.

It's Osaka from Azumanga Daioh as far as I can tell. So you think they would be okay with me showing the blockchain and saying "this is what I did with the money I earnt legally"? They won't care that I bought some Uniswap coins? This is all hypothetical, mind.

I would get a second citizenship/passport somewhere like Panama or whatever. Before they issue your documents you can pay a lawyer to get your name legally changed in that country. Use those documents to form an international business corporation with bank accounts in TRNC or some other tax haven. From there you can just pay for everything with a credit card/checks from that bank account. Buying property might make things a little trickier but only if you're trying to buy it in your home country which I assume is USA.

If they have any questions about the source of the crypto then yeah, but it would be extremely surprising if that did happen at all IMO. That's the worst case scenario.

It truly is sad anons don’t recognize banner anime these days. Anyways I’ve cashed out $20,000ish total, always registered it as long-term capital gains cause I’ve held it for longer than a year and I’ve had no issues, I think they (only) took out 10% or so. America of course. I also have $60,000 of ETH staking, never recorded staking gains cause I don’t know how. No issues, doubt the IRS cares or has the tech to care.

Just move it to your bank slowly. Make bigger deposits as time go by. Then declare your taxes as usual. Keep in mind that if you wait more than a year they'll go easier on you

I've never really done this kind of "subtle" tax avoidance/money laundering activity because I'm too much of a pussy and I'd rather the government just take away half of it to give away to fentanyl addicted black people and whatnot, but, in theory, if you deposit your initial capital into a relatively obscure wallet using something like XMR, and you use that money to do all your stuff which gets deposited to another wallet(s) in say, AGRS, LTC, TRX, which then you send to another wallet on another exchange to turn it all into XMR which then goes to another wallet on another exchange where you actually sell. Makes sense? Obfuscation like works or just makes you look guilty before proven innocent? Because nowadays you got platforms to look at everybody's movements with ease, so...

I guess you can simply do everything on a cheap laptop with TailOS installed using TOR and DEX exchanges exclusively, too. Just thinking out loud again I've never done any of this.

Do accountants have some sort of oat like doctors and psychiatrists usually do? Like you tell them "hey I got 2 million dollars worth of gamba money and I don't really wanna declare any of it" they can just choose to cover it up or stop working with you but never report you?

you will just delay the inevitable. laundering money with crypto was only really possible for your average joe with shit like tornado cash, mish-mashing a lot of people's money with one another then distributing it quietly either to the same wallet or another wallet somewhere else. shit was the first time normies got the opportunity to launder money easily without having to set up a plan to get away with it.

It can't be this easy can it? Feds will knock at your door right? This sounds like I've heard it before on shows and movies, specifically Wolf of Wall Street. It can't *actually* work like that right?

>>58688139
Yeah no obfuscation will only make them angrier once they have all the proof necessary. Doesn't matter if you move your money on AGRS, LTC, USDT or what have you.
