I don't see why you should though. Just use timeshift to backup your system configuration and use a large HDD to backup all your everything. Ideally this HDD would be unplugged most of the time in case whatever fucks your PC up is a virus that deletes everything including your backups. You could have the HDD in another machine connected on your LAN, but I think you'd run the risk of the virus using the same methods you use to backup/add/remove files and get rid of everything there as well.

My HDD is still filled with torrents (and system file backup in case SSD dies). I need Litecoin to 10x so I can get a much bigger one.

It gets expensive if you want to use the drive redundancy method. It's basically just keeping 2 copies of everything on 2 drives. Just look up all the different types of RAID setups. Just be sure to not pick the one where if one drive out of all of them breaks you are fucked.

Fairly solvable problem as long as the hardware doesn't lock you out from accessing certain types of files to prevent piracy/cheese/terrorism/whatever. Best to keep an old computer just in case.

I don't know about in Japan, but I'm pretty sure most animators earn a decent chunk of money.
In my country an average animator makes €5k a month. That's way more than me and pretty close to average. I assume it's a lot harder in some places like Japan with more competition and lower wages, but outside of the stress from timecrunches and overtime I'm sure they survive on the money the make. My research shows a livable wage with their expenses.

3D modelling seems like one of those things that AI could get really good at, but you'd still want to know quite a lot about it so that it's only being used as a shortcut while you fix the mistakes yourself by knowing exactly what the AI did wrong from having the skills to do it yourself albeit slower.
You can get really good at 3D modelling with Blender and YouTube and a ton of practice. Just follow some tutorials and eventually try to make something you like with it and do that a lot. We have long lives, you may as well get an extra hobby for your own projects. If you do your own modelling, your own storyboard, your own coding, your own everything, you will feel unstoppable. The sky will be the limit of your creativity. You must have no expectation of profit from the work of others. Especially him. He does not work for you. He has never worked for you.
