basically its an ETF that sells covered call options of the underlying at bullish strikes and holds some t-notes/bills for liquidity. it pays out the difference in premium between the long options and puts that it holds IIRC.
some downsides - only declares monthly dividend payout a few days before the record date, so if you dont want to buy the top the best time to buy is the ex date or close to it and hold for a month otherwise you baghold the dividend payout amount until the NAV recovers.
the better NVDA performs, the higher the NVDY correlated stock price and higher % chance at a high monthly payout.

Im considering a big investment (over 1 million) in AI infrastructures.

Im considering being low risk (buying the S M H index) or going for individual stocks in search of massive alpha.

I was looking at some of the Bitcoin miners that have massive infrastructure built that are pivoting to AI and their stocks are flying.

The demand for AI imo is not priced in. Even for silly things like animating a picture of a meme, or creating music, etc, people love that, and it just keeps getting better.

This requires a limited in amount resource: infraestructure.

My fear? of course a possible recession. But their infrastructure is already built, they just have to turn on the machines for AI. The demand for AI will be there. Even if people are broke, demand for creative stufff, or entertainment, will still be there and it's easy to access.

If anyone has studied this, what is on your bag and why? Convince me that this is and isn't a good idea beyond muhhhhhhhh nvidia chart bubble.

I heard rumours about NVDIA using their facilities to help produce since Intel are one of the main companies in this sector that own their own factories. Upside is they're also heavily backed by US government and get a bunch of other subs from other governments (Israel being one of them)

Read the press release the new AI chip doesn't sound like it's more for commercial use rather than recreational. I was going to do $40 call options to expire December 20th but might just do a couple calls for July next year @40 and $50. If it doesn't get by that range I think it's going to take a long time for them to catch up to the other players in the industry

Poor management from the inside/workplace issues leading to poor operation decisions over time, They didn't continue with Apple awhile ago so now Apple use competitor for their chips and their fabs have high cost which usually run at a loss but are located in America. Investors are also worried about China entering the processor market or rising tension with Taiwan (Which is + for Intel because of main competitor TSMC)

There are probably safer investments out there but I can't see you losing if you invest and hold for a few years whilst they get their financials better, their management has already gotten much better and has better workplace ratings. Also another thing which is overlooked is Nvidia might use their fabs for packaging and chips because of the whole Russia/China collab and USA getting stricter with trade secrets (Since Intel is heavy backed by.. jews?)

poor management decisions and trying to do too much with too little. lots of other chip designers in the 2000s outsourced the fabrication process to tsmc or samsung who had a better economy of scale and were better equiped to pump out 7nm chips, and even smaller chips as they could upgrade their plant faster, while intel struggled to catch up. they were also quite late to the mobile/tablet market, and basically never really established a foothold. they sort of ended up being like decent at everything but good at nothing.

Intel discrete GPUs failed because they refused to spend money on drivers. Their Windows DX backend was literally dxvk, and the Linux drivers didn't even have good enough Vulkan to run dxvk. GPGPU was even more broken than AMD, which is really saying something. They're still the biggest PC GPU vendor though. Qualcomm or AMD might muscle them out eventually. nVidia would have to figure out how to make a CPU first to even try.
