Tomorrow the FED decides if the rise, hold or lower interest rates. I've seen some doomposting on CT and this has convinced me that Powell will lower interest rates tomorrow.

What do you think the FED will do?

Exactly. Seeing cringy CT traders call8ng for a bust is what makes me think the FED will pivot.

literally nothing. they won't lower until something breaks, if things get worse they won't raise until next year. it will stay at 3% inflation over time

BoC has been front running the fed. They lowered 0.5% so fed either holds or lowers 0.25%.

Powell has said on numerous occasions that rate won't fall until people lose jobs. Jobs numbers are reporting higher now that everyone is forced into holding multiple jobs which means no rate cuts for you. A thread died for this.

The fed always have a plan and then ignore it.
And yeah,an inactivr thread died for this. Suck my balls nigger.
>>58608384
You have to take into account that the us rates are way higher than other countries. This leaves the FED more wiggle room to lower and still have higher rates than Europe and Canada.

They've been consistent in telling retards demanding rate cuts to fuck off for over a year. This will be no different. Stop pretending to be stupid.

If the fed cuts rates there will probably be some lag time before the inflation ticks up. Any chance they cut rates right before the election so the economy heats up and Biden can do the "strong economy" talking point to help him?

From what I understand the FED has a history of cutting too late. This time being an election year might cut before the river turns red.

It's crazy to imagine how some people just don't know there are markets for futures and swaps they can look at to see what the market thinks the probability of an event are rather than just guessing based on what other retards post online.

The markets thought the Spot ETH ETFs were gonna get rejected and they got approved.
The markets also thought we were gonna have cuts in May. It's all guessing in the end.

You can literally put your money where you mouth is and get a massive return if you're right, so go ahead.
But I wouldn't, and I assume you won't either.

No it won't. The markets are almost certain rates will hold, so nothing will happen.

The US can do whatever the fuck it wants. The dollar is so strong that even rate cuts of other banks barely move it. No one wants their shitcoins.

Just checked and the next reunion is the 31 of July which is a 50 day gap and the next one is the 16th of September, another 50 day gap and the last reunion before the elections.
I'd say if they don't lower it now they will in July. I highly doubt they cut in September. They will be accused of favoring Biden too much if they pivot in September.

So the rate can really be whatever and it would only affect the trade balance if the rate difference is too large. US exports would get expensive, but so much is domestic that they can afford it.

You have to keep in mind the U.S. is cooking its books more than anytime in history, so anything even remotely portrayed as bad means it’s easily several times worse in reality. Anything they say is good is WAY worse. Trump scared these people into full blown Maoists.
