All he needs to do is take something to hunt with him and go into a natural forest and he can hunt game, ducks, birds. So in summer with enough barries and wild fruits its really not that bad and way healthier then what your average retards eats.
In winter you would need to organize a lot to get honey and collect nuts etc.
