There is no proof they even started offering shares yet, so that cant be 100% attributable to what happened today, and yes, there is precedent of the recent share offering happening quickly, but as you know past performance is not indicative of future results. You can absolutely argue calls being sold naked, which is a real possibility, except money is used as collateral, with more money needed as price rises, and there's a point where they do buy physical shares to hedge their sold calls. A market maker isn't just going to sit there and risk finite losses from the liquidity they provide.
