The fucking meme shitcoins and AI vaporware pump for the stupidest and most random of reasons, and they don't even dump that much anymore. Meanwhile, my good projects can constantly introduce huge developments but just endlessly bleed to death.

"Utility alts" were a mere transition phase to arrive at picture meme coins. Because they don't pump based off their utility, but rather on the exact same kind of retail gambler's speculation as meme coins do. How many times does this need to be explained. The top brain in your jpg isn't even talking about utility alts, its talking about bitcoin. Altfags snubbed their noses at bitcoin just from assuming they were "too late" and they were greedy enough to want to be closer to the absolute ground floor of some new token, which is why their utility alt of choice was created in the first place.

Altcoiners nihilistically dismissed bitcoin just from assuming they were "too late" and they were greedy enough to want to be closer to the absolute ground floor of some new token, which is why their utility alt of choice was created in the first place. When people starting doing that it gave others the same idea, and that only intensified over time as it became easier to do. And it merely became more honest as altcoiners exchanged notes amongst themselves and collectively wised up that fundamentals for alts were not real, so might as well go for memes. A utility alt narrative which isn't true, is the same thing as a meme.

Glad I could help.

>"Utility alts" were a mere transition phase to arrive at picture meme coins.
This is partially true, but in that respect Bitcoin was also a transition phase to alts.

I agree with you that alts provide very little utility. There is a SMALL amount of technological innovation in alts, although most of it is just technoblabble hype. Which, by the way, is not significantly different from the actual tech economy (or the economy in general). People get hyped about AI and all of that bullshit, but all of the cherry picked demonstrations or pretend-resignations by senior programmers are all the orchestrated drama to make people think the tech is useful (and generate stock appreciation). Everything is fake in this economy. Everything is a scam. It's not limited to utility alts.

Where I disagree is that somehow Bitcoin represents a unique divergence from the general rule of everything being fake. There is nothing separating Bitcoin from any other proof of work chain other than history. So when BTC maxis try to say that no other chain matters, what they essentially are arguing is to pump their bags. I do not personally know anyone who is a BTC maxi who is NOT also significantly personally invested in it. What does that show you? It's just an older, wealthier version of the same ponzi you see in every single crypto.

So to be a BTC maxi is the same as saying "pump my bags". So it is natural to see others attempt to do the same with coins that THEY control. Why would I pump YOUR bags when I could have big bags of my own in a different coin? An early PEPE investor made multiples more than virtually everyone in crypto except maybe 2010 BTC insiders. Many people will naturally chase the highest returns.
