I get burned when I hold waiting for 4x refusing to cash out at 3x and slowly watching it bleed back to my buy price or lower.

Sometimes holding long term makes sense. But once you get serious money you had been happy with a 10% profit more than somebody praying for a 10x because they're gambling their rent money.
