I don't get how you cryptofags have the stomach for seeing your funds dissolve half the time. I tried doing crypto twice now and both times I pulled out once I saw the losses. I know rationally you can buy some boring shit like bitcoin and just ignore it and probably a few years later it'll be worth way more. But the ups and downs are too much for me to handle. I just stick to buying VOO now to track the S&P 500 and it's way less stressful. When it goes down it's only by much smaller amounts usually and if it gets really bad at least that means the entire rest of the world is having a massive financial disaster too.

Same. I'm satisfied having my guitar and sunshine, so I can live off $20k/yr -- most of that being rent and groceries.
If things take off, I win; if they don't, things stay the same and that's cool too.

You don't really know that though. If you're talking bitcoin it hasn't gone down that low since 2022. That's what's both tempting and a pain about BTC. It has just enough history supporting the idea it will reliably keep going up, but also it's still only like 15 years so it's entirely possible this was one really long fad and everyone will eventually get tired of it so it starts increasingly dropping value with time in the long term as a new behavior.
It isn't a business and none of its potential use cases ever really manifested so it's literally just gambling. But with enough of a past pattern to feel pretty solid. And those two conflicting ideas make it real hard to hold BTC and not panic sell it sooner or later.

Yeah, most people are average so I'm probably average intelligence.
I am an engineer which is stereotyped as a more intelligent kind of profession. But that was just because I abused a lot of cough medicine and learned to program while having dissociative fugues. I think my only advantage was having low enough inhibition to get into DXM abuse when younger vs. a normal person who wouldn't consider it.

My total investment in crypto was $3000 in 2020 and I have 500-550k right now + around 150k cashed out. The only time my portfolio dumped so hard I panicked was in 2021 when it went from 80k to 25k in like 3 days but I was much newer and poorer then. There is no huge upside without the risk.

You said it op, its not an everyones game, I presonally now and then trade some memecoins, since its kinda funny seeing how retards finds a way to create more memecoins, or you can either be on a pre-launch and sell the token once is launched, i'm doing the same with LRDS, i'm hoping dev finally launchs that shit this month

You weren't made to take risks. Nothing wrong with that. You just can't stomach it that's all. You seemed to find out your risk tolerance and what you're comfortable with. Stick with that.

These are both true. I get a huge rush when I see that I've lost $1 million+ in a single day, which has happened just a few times to me since 2016.

Crypto investing is a constant battle against yourself, you have to control all of those deadly impulses inside you that scream at you constantly that the top is in and we're going down. You have to clench your buttcheecks, seriously hold onto your pinksale launches and realize those profits as soon as possible.
Once you accept you're always going to lose in some capacity, it gets easier
