It's happened a few times when BTC was illiquid and unknown. There's a world of difference between now and 2016.
The media coverage of 2021 bought BTC to literally everyone where it was still a techie thing in 2016. The ETFs mean hedge funds can trivially take BTC positions without dealing with any sketchy crypto platforms. Only time will tell for sure but I think the pump we saw after the ETF approval was the halving front-run.
Once a market is liquid enough it's impossible to have scheduled pumps, and IMO BTC is now at that point.

No I didn't, that added huge liquidity from people and institutions that didn't want to deal with crypto platforms.

Everyone knows this and exactly when it will happen, including multi-billion dollar hedge funds that now have easy access to an ETF so they can long BTC. The ETF is making the market liquid enough to be efficient wrt the halving.
