Russians have a terrible quality of life and yet there's a good amount of westerners who support them because the government pretends to be for the people. Reality is, western governments are ruthless nationalists who have improved our quality of life ten fold in the last 70 years. There's no innovation, start ups, technology or anything being developed in Russia that would improve anyone's life. Their wealth is extracted from the ground and that's it. They have more land than any country on earth and haven't done any real development with it to benefit the life of it's people. Russians have an envious attitude towards the west and their insecurities show. I used to be neutral on Russia until they invaded Ukraine. I see them falling apart as a federation in the next 20 years and eastern Russia will be bought by China.
