I am fully expecting this is final nail in the coffin for LINK. I will just sit and watch while suffering as usual.

What's actually going to happen (what always happens) is that the price will stay relatively constant regardless of the halving, and people will notice "huh.... nothing changed." after about a week. And then they'll feel safe to buy in again and the price will start to slowly rise as people realize that it was all not really that important.

Halvings are mechanical, if demand is sufficient to support $60k BTC with 328k BTC/yr emissions then price will have to rise when emissions fall to 164k BTC/yr. BTC is the realest market on earth, that's what midwits don't get, it's a econ textbook concept made real

No bro. It's going to halve the mining block rewards, which will create more scarcity, which in theory will pump the price. In theory

>> No.58415584

>>58415580
So if a block gives half the reward can i trade someone my private keys for full price, instead of sending it on-chain where I'll lose 50%? There's gotta be a way to like lock up the keys for a buyer so after i sell i cant take the coins back, right?

>> No.58415607

>>58415584
You mean selling to a private buyer, in cash? I guess but I wouldn't rely on that as a recurring source of income.

I'm uncertain about what will happen after this BTC halving, but I already have ETH and BTC in my portfolio. I'm thinking of more ways to earn my ETH, and I've found liquid restaking protocols. YieldNest is one of the decent protocols in this space.

I'm a new investor and was super confused that rumours of a bitcoin ETF caused the price to shoot up but after it actually got approved it plummeted for like 3 months. I've since found out that's just how it works. Buy the rumours, sell the news someone told me. This is definitely a sell the news situation if I've ever seen one. I do however think it's going to dip initially but go back up afterwards.

Not saying it's not gonna pump (it will), but pretending that crypto is the perfect Free Market(TM) in action is just delusional.
