once the inflation happens it doesn't go back. currencies end by collapsing, not by recovering their value.

Heres your 1997 ford f150 with 200k miles on it bro. It will only run you 20 thousand dollars plus tip.

They want you to buy electric vehicles but they're so detached from what "poor" means that they have no idea 90% of human beings can't afford a tesla. they're pricing people out of everything without realizing its going to fuck them over too.

They're not. My gold I exchanged all my fiat shitcoins for still buys the same amount of car as it did 4 years ago.

My farmland, rental properties and etfs are all above that amount.

Oh, you bag held your country's currency?

I also find it really disheartening how much of a premium is on toyotas. At this point I actually don't think it makes sense to buy a toyota, where it costs WAY more than an equivalent, in the used market.

>> No.58400312

>>58400305
>where it costs WAY more than an equivalent, in the used market.
the difference being they're cheaper to work on and the parts are everywhere and they're extremely reliable
what you pay up front you save over the life of the vehicle by a lot

I’m way overdue for a new(used) car. I have 250k miles On a 19 year old Hyundai. I keep fixing it to keep it running but tired of constantly chasing problems with it. However when I got to look for a decent used car there’s nothing even remotely reasonable out there. Everything everyone is selling is get a he, or it’s so refocus expensive like >>58399768 that it actually makes more sense for me to keep repairing my Hyundai. I’m about to drop 4k on a rebuilt transmission to limp this thing along for another couple years.

The sky is the limit for how far prices can be pushed. Why not price them at 300k, and have people take out 25 year mortgages on them? People will bitch and complain, but ultimately most will just have to suck it up.

My dad was a master toyota technician. Toyotas are worth every extra penny.
They are by far the most reliable vehicles ever made.
In the late 90s they actually had meetings discussing the fact that they made their cars TOO reliable to where they will get less sales and changed it a bit. 90s early 2000s Toyotas are bulletproof.
There's niggers in Africa driving 50 year old toyota trucks with 1 million miles and completely Jerry rigged handmade parts.
The other cars are complete garbage in comparison.

I bought an old toyota 4runner in like 2015 for 3k and have only done basic maintenence, it has almost 300k miles now and always starts. The other cars blow up at 100k miles perfectly timed to when the warranty expires
