I was thinking about it the other day that ideally the government should mint silver coins to be acceptable payment for all debts/transactions. Other precious metals, while not having a fixed value, can be used as payment in a transaction if both parties agree. It avoids the drawback of having a bimetallism system. Yes they are, I have 8 of them. I prefer to stack Sovereigns since I usually find them with a lower premium, but when I make an order I try to add a LMU gold coin or two. I like them for their variety besides the historical value.

I went down to a bullion exchange in Manhattan's diamond district today. Sold some of my bullion, and a bunch of gold jewelry my mom wanted to turn into cash. I'd never been down there before, it's pretty wild. The displays in the jewelry stores are insane, and I know it's a meme but the hustle and bustle of the place was pretty contagious. Made a nice profit on my bullion, averaged about 20% ROI.
