Coke Zero and Diet Coke are two different products entirely.

The flavor profile of Diet Coke was purposefully altered to have a different flavor, a 'diet' flavor, whereas Coke Zero's flavor profile is an attempt at making it the exact same as normal Coke, just with 0 sugar.
