both.

The nuances are you buy 10k (41.7%) 14k (58.5%) and so on at those values. However 10k has a (((range))) of purity it can be. So it may only be 41% gold not 41.7%. Gold buyers always buy it at the stated percentage, however refineries when they melt it give you the exact percentage (assuming they arent lying). So now the gold buyer has instantly lost .7% which again, makes less sense for why they would pay 97%, melt it at 98% knowing they may lose that 1% profit.

False. Nobody knows silver, Every normie knows gold and thinks it's intrinsically worth money.

Once goldbacks get out into the public eye by the millions like BTC it's over because unlike useless scam doomed to fail BTC goldbacks have actual utility and people love cash which is why jewish glowies do EVERYTHING to slander goldbacks. It doesn't rely on the fiat system like cypto KYC, Buttcorn and fed control

If you hate goldbacks you are a GLOWIE FED. Businesses now accept goldbacks, 5 states have signed it into law as legal tender.

USD will no longer be relevant in the coming years.

That creek I'm referring to is in central Illinois, it has nice catfish and while they're not a delicacy it harbors enormous freshwater clams (mussels) with shells over 7" long that I've always thought were really cool. There are viable easily accessible exposures of coal all around the Midwest, study the relevant USGS maps and historical coal production data for your counties of interest and you'll find lots of options.

Oo... Tough question. Germania comes to mind.
PAMP's craftsmanship is excellent but designs are Boomerish. I've recently learned of Le Grand. Others have mentioned Intaglio, but I find their in-house designs are ho-hum - their work for others (like the Silvberbug bugs) are wonderfully crafted. Pressburg is excellent, but they waste half the surface with some royal's effigy. And Scottsdale is of course way up there.
I'd hate to have to pick just one.

Thx scrapbro. Well rare was a bit of a flex over reach, but it's quite uncommon let say. It's a 2F 1873A (500K minted, 2nd lowest mintage year). It should pay for half the lot.
And it will go back on sale the minute i receive it. I need every penny i can get my hands onto to purchase more greek oldies. It's turning into an obsession now.

My light comes from the window - it's above and to the right of the subjects. Can't get much cheaper than that.
I don't have any experience with smartphone cameras or how they react to different lighting sources, so I don't really know what to say. A camera on a tripod allows me to control exposures like very long (typically 8 seconds) using low ISO (100), and small apertures (f/16 is typical).
My limitations: I am bound to needing daylight to take a picture, and color is affected by temperature: sunlight or cloudy.

A single-purpose camera can allow full control over exposure, allowing you to overcome the automatic settings of a multipurpose device that assumes you're okay with compromise. You're not okay with that.

Kek, I know that feel bro. If not a bad influence my evangelical numisfagging has certainly had an impact on your beleaguered bank balance. I can't truthfully say I'm sorry, but hopefully you've been exercising a little discipline and continue to collect good deals. I've been sorting and revisiting my collection and rediscovered this amusing bronze (above the cast crab claw onkia coin from Akragas) from Bruttium depicting the head of the sea-goddess Amphitrite wearing a crab head-dress (lol wtf), it has another crab in its full glory on the reverse too. I luv me crabs fren, they're so based. The rocks are agates from the Lake Superior region I found walking creeks, they're among the most desirable agates on earth. I sold a bigger one for $800 about 10 years ago.

>>58337491
>Not sure if i did good or bad considering a corner is missing (35€).

The chipped edge does no favors but since it left the aesthetically superior octopus intact that's definitely a fair price, I would have bought it for 35 too. It would cost 5x that or more without the damage and I'm sure could be sold at profit, Syracuse octopus litrae are very appealing and coveted coins.

If it's government coinage, gift it at face value. ASEs are only a buck. AGEs are fifty. The IRS lets you give $18k per person (so, twice that for two parents) per year without filing paperwork. There's likely analogs for other countries, but anything in non-native currency denominations probably won't qualify for face-value transfer arguments in the eyes of the court.

But if you're planning on needing to prove ownership transfer in front of a court, you'll probably want more paperwork, not less. You'll want some sort of intermediary or escrow to generate a receipt or other record with a timestamp and a value. Just make sure your third party isn't a shitbag by arguing face value currency is fungible and then swap the coins for FRNs behind your back. Write into the terms of the exchange that the exact items are to be transferred.

>I just have some for the novelty

Same, goldbacks are an interesting concept and I've given several away as gifts to friends and family to help encourage interest in PMs, but the constitutional silver coins and bullion I've gifted are more straightforward and intuitive and have been more effective at awakening new stackers. If the goldback people can overcome the slow gold vapor-deposition production bottleneck and crank out larger denominations that don't carry such an onerous premium then maybe they'll be a viable medium of exchange, but for now they're far less practical than pre-64 silver and won't appeal to anyone who isn't autistic and already a stacker/collector.

Rule number one: don't over extend. You don't want to be in a position to have to sell metals to cover routine expenses. With that in mind, gold and/or silver depending on your budget. I buy both. I think both are safe havens in the unfolding storm.

Once China has completed its exit from the dollar, watch out. Then it will be free to attack openly. Right now it needs to keep it on the down low because it stands to lose billions if the dollar tanks. Once it divests itself, expect things to get very ugly very fast.
