A decentralized proof-of-work with transactions as fast as Visa?
Yes, they do. It might take a very long time to be adopted but the faster, simpler, less energy consuming network wins. It's thermodynamics. Plus the Jews will promote it.
It's also getting smart contracts and when it does it's over for Cardono, Solana, and Ethereum.

>> No.58314976

>>58314950
Maybe if someone develops a real dapp worth using rather than the hellscape of ethereum scams. People dont care about the technology. None of your points are unique to kaspa, kaspa is just a newer blockchain. I almost got into mining kaspa but the social factor is too poor right now, and i see no signs of that improving. Its always the same problem, the people who make the best technology dont know how to sell it, and the people that can sell it just want the next easy pump and dump. Bitcoin was only an exception because it was the first mover

>> No.58315032

>>58314976
What do you want then? Just go buy BTC or a meme. Good luck.

I say there is demand for Bitcoin to do more because shitcoins are still worth billions.
If nothing else the newb will be able to buy it and send it to himself without waiting 40 minutes wondering if he screwed it up.
Why does Ethereum exist? Why Cardana and Solana? This whole thing is about making finance digital and decentralized and Kaspa does not have first mover advantage but it is more than 10x ahead. 1000x.

>> No.58315041

>>58314976
YOU don't care about the technology. If crypto has any actual potential use in this world, though, beyond being just a ponzi scheme, then technology matters a lot. I still think the tech matters because I think crypto is a good concept that has the potential to benefit the world, and I believe there are others out there who see it the same way.
Instant transactions on PoW is unique. The only other coins that have fast transactions are centralized PoS networks. There is not a single other PoW network that has instant confirmations. That's because Kaspa isn't even a blockchain. It's a blockDAG, which is something that has never been done before, and allows for parallel processing of blocks while maintaining the full security of PoW.
Kaspa is good digital money. Good digital money has to be proof of work (otherwise it was made for free and has no value), it has to be fair launched, and it has to be scarce (with a limited supply). Kaspa is all of these and also has virtually unlimited scalability. Nothing else in the world satisfies those properties, so the potential niche is there.

People like us are going to support the network until it takes as off as a medium of exchange. Or at least a much faster store hold of value.

it's not about 'the tech' it's about utility. payment processing will become hugely important very soon. a coin that can actually accomplish that has real value.

Oh I think that was the wrong one, this is kaspa.

- **Thesis**: Will #Kaspa experience a blow-off top this cycle?
- **Argument against blow-off top**: Kaspa won't have a blow-off top, which is actually beneficial.
- **Alternative scenario**: If Bitcoin had a 2-year quartering instead of a 4-year halving, what would the power law chart look like?
- **Outcome**: Smaller deviations around the power law fair value, leading to smaller peaks and blow-off tops.
- **Comparison with Kaspa**: Kaspa exhibits a 2-year cycle with smaller deviations due to its monthly 5% reward reduction.
- **Cycle harmonic**: Kaspa shows a clear 4/8 month cycle harmonic with diminishing returns and relatively low volatility.
- **Absence of blow-off top**: Kaspa won't have a blow-off top because it won't deviate significantly from the power law fair value.
- **Benefit of stability**: This stability extends to the downside, making the bear market less severe for Kaspa.
- **Market perception**: During the bull market, people might get tired of Kaspa as other projects experience dramatic peaks, but they shouldn't expect Kaspa to reach all-time highs during Bitcoin's bear market.
- **Unique position of Kaspa**: Unlike other projects, Kaspa doesn't rely on Bitcoin's influence but solves its own trilemma, making it a separate asset with its own adoption curve in both bullish and bearish Bitcoin markets.

What's the speed on what? The coin is being launched on the Rust programming language pretty soon. It will be 10 transactions per second and it's pretty fast already.
Why does a fast PoW matter?
Go listen to Michael Saylor on the 'What is Money' podcast to understand why Proof of Work crypto solves the problem of money. It's like gold but much better. Everyone understands all the money since civilization became worth less and less and only gold and a few metals retained their value. Fungible, immutable. Indestructable. Not secure. Not mobile. Not a fixed supply because they pull 2% more gold out of the ground every year.
