Oh wow. There's another "mint" anon who refuses to buy an add to fleece you fools? This is by far the worst looking one yet too. As long as you tards keep giving them hundreds or thousands of dollars each time, they'll keep showing up with new rounds to funnel your sheckles into their bank accounts. These faggots ruined /pmg/ and sucked all the organic discussion out if the general. Advertising is against the rules and therefore these greedy merchants should be reported on sight and permab&.

I understand. The 11$ shipping is for mailing insurance/warranty; priority shipping (within 3 days) and there is a tracking number to ensure no shenanigans.

I have received all your feedback and will constructively take this back to the artist for future designs. I apologize about the Brand logo being on the reverse; this is the very first round ever produced and the firm needed brand exposure to ensure no knock off's. The reverse also has the legal definition of weight and fineness. This allows you can re-sell them on the secondary market for a higher price immediately.
I appreciate everyone who has already ordered and fully understand for those who have not and/or refuse to. This was an adventure and a learning experience if nothing else. As for the pricing of 80$. This round isn't a normal round; it is proofed; i.e. mirror finish. Though it is not gilded, their is mirror polish that goes beyond just a traditional common round. This is in no way to obfuscate anyone as the producer of this round; I take full responsibility for the good/bad/ugly. Last thoughts; shipping on the website will be updated on monday, no one wants to pick up a phone over the weekend...Finally, Here is an link to the 7 minute unboxing ceremony on social media: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5ZEJFCCJeU/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Bitcoin is completely fucking useless as a currency and it's only purpose is to gamble on a centralized exchange.

What we learned from this trip:

- Cash is king. Even in a hyperinflationary environment, everybody either wanted Pesos or USD. It was the most liquid and accessible asset.

- Silver was the runner up. It was the 2nd most liquid asset and you could get about 90% of the spot price when selling.

- Ironically, Tether was the 3rd most liquid asset. Some tech vendors were willing to accept Tether, but they wouldn't accept any other cryptocurrencies.

- Gold was garbage. It was way less liquid than silver and the haircut when selling was about 40% - 50%.

- Bitcoin was completely useless. It had no liquidity whatsoever. No vendor was willing to accept it and even the Bitcoin ATMs didn't function properly.

I would have no problem paying spot for silver, the value comes from the fact it is silver, not that some authority deemed it worthy so it does not matter what it looks like as long as testing proves it to be real silver

This is how things have always been and the very reason precious metals matter, does not matter that the coin perhaps says "20 dollar" on it if the gold itself is worth 2000+ dollars, the authority who stamped it gets completely ignored as they should be in such a situation

I'll reiterate this again, what made the original meme rounds great was, for lack of a better word, this community. The desire, design and production came from here. Not from some greedy merchant boomer trying to maximize his profits and fame. Again, the appeal for meme rounds was already dying, mostly due to over saturation, but this was the finishing blow. A narcissistic touch.

If the store ever works (Your cart contains a service which is not available in your area.) I think you can sell 50/150 at $80. Generally the small mint folks sell 1oz silver around the $59-$65 dollar range on facebook/in mailing lists/in their webstores, with them almost immediately selling it out (STL Mint, CMG Mint, All-Chips, Cool2Coin as examples) and then communities, that same week, reselling for $70-$75, and later down the line higher. This price point is all about collecting silver artwork and not about investing in bullion, which I think confuses the poors here whose only interest in metal is for future transactions instead of for having a bountiful treasure chest of interesting pieces that are fun to look at individually. If you don't sell out, just list them on ebay with seven day auctions, with two up at a time, like Jason Sayos / allgeekspc does with his 1oz erotic comic book cover silver bars (generally they close around $89 or higher every time, he never lets more than 2 of a design be up at a time).

gold is garbage for smaller transactions, hard to deal with/measure in small quantities, even a tenth of an ounce is still going to be too much to pay for most normal things, this is why gold can be garbage especially day to day for normal use and IMO the extra hassle is why the cost of using it is so high, when using it where it is not suited ofc

I would imagine things being differently if you move up the ladder in price, I cant't imagine the big boy investors accepting 50% cuts because they don't have to sell right now to get food

Your criticism is valid. I have taken it to heart and will ensure the next design has been vetted here for more than a week. The reason why this round wasn't available before easter is because of the art correction. I think gold and silverbacks are cool but they are a very limited product with insane premiums and in fact most people outside of the US or 4chan would probably not even know it was real precious metals even
The reality is that people over there had to trade jewelry and existing pieces they might have had
Just because you in very recent modern times have a access to a niche product does not automatically populate the inventory of everyone with said product as if you just updated code in a video game, even if these cool looking notes that I do want to own exists it does not change the overall reality of why gold is a hassle to use compared to silver for day to day use

I am not saying it was not used, I am saying it makes sense that it is more difficult to use as compared to silver and that it will make it more expensive in many cases to use the gold instead of the silver, nothing in that image is a contradiction with what I said earlier

Because you didn't gather or incorporate enough feedback. You see what Minty posted above? THAT'S what your design process should look like, and we've still blasted him for not listening to us. We weren't being unfair.
>The decision was a business decision but let it be promised that the brand logo will NEVER go onto an /pmg/ inspired design again.
Honestly, it's less that there's branding present and more that the branding is the entire back of the coin. You probably could've gotten away with an mint mark or something, but your last name isn't Gucci and you have no brand to sell. You won't develop one designing like that.

No one's making knockoffs of your tiny run of nerd coins either, that idea is straight narcicism. You may consider printing a CoA and slathering your company name on that instead, no one will care if the card stock that comes with their shiny isn't gorgeous. Don't dare use increased size as an excuse to raise shipping costs though, your prices are already too high.

>the brand
I dont think its wholly and 100% unwelcome or undersirable, but it will be highly subjective to the potential buyers, what kind of branding or naming would be desirable or attractive, interesting enough or meme worthy fpr a large enough portion of the buyer population.

"Bob's Sneed and Feed, formerly Chuck's"
might be a type of, or a flavor of, meme "branding" that could be a seller. not exaclty that, but something along those lines.

Something recognizable with a relatable, seemingly organic appeal.

Having a seemingly random, unknown person's personal, first name, followed by "PMG" is,... I dont know how to say it, just off-putting in a way.

the whole brand name labelling idea is a dangerous venture. I dont even like brand names included on the stamoping when its coming from some place like Provident or JM Bullion. if its not intrinsic to the design whether it be a heraldic eagle or a bust of a famous endeared figure, then its out of place and can be off-putting for any number of reasons of personal taste, but it can easily come off and brand-whoring for sure.

of course some names can get away with it for whatever reaosn, whther its baecasue they already havce the following, the fan base, or theyre so old and intistutional that its familiar and perhaps nostalgic and the recognition is a total positive almost in a numnismatic sense, like Asahi, Engelhard, Northwest Territory Mint, Johnson Mathey, etc, or such.
of course names like that are not automatically unappreciated or seen is soluolless brand whoring, they are already endeared to a large following.

British Gold sovereign, beautiful coins with 0.2354 TOz of gold in them, making them ideal for stacking fractional gold (along with Swiss Gold 20 Franc coins, which have 0.1866 TOz). They’re one of my favorite coins! You can also find vintage coin holders for them, which essentially functioned as wallets back when they were in circulation. The UK mint still produces them til this day, though personally I hate any design with King Charles on it, they look dreadful

I appreciate the effort, and love the obverse (I helped make it). Personally I would have gone with a smooth business strike over proof but that's nitpicking. The reverse has a nice finish the frosted matte but not crazy about the Todd branding. Ultimately it's too high for me at $80 plus shipping, I kept telling MintAnon he should be closer to $50...
But now that you have the dies, maybe the price will come down. In fact it might be worth contacting the online retailers to see if they want to order a couple thousand at discount. JM bullion carries rounds for salivate metal but maybe a smaller shop would come up with a plan.

NTA but dang, where are you from, anon? Here in Europe is likely the most famous gold coin.

"Modern" sovereigns have been minted for two centuries, for circulation originally, as they were used for local and international trade until World War I. They are 22K, and most of them share the same design for the reverse, with St George slaying the dragon by B. Pistrucci, while the obverse has the usual king or queen portrait.

Even if they are technically fractional (slightly less than 1/4 toz) and have some historical value (at least for the older ones), they are so common that you can usually find them among the lowest premium coins here in Europe.

Yep, and that's also the main problem with goldbacks as collectibles. If lots of people collect them and nobody uses them, the market is small, most of them get preserved, very few get melted down or destroyed by use.

As long as fiat exists people will prefer to keep the real value for themselves, sure, but their real value in a sense is sharing the idea of real money with others
IMO goldbacks/silverbacks are great gifts, or included with another gift as a fun novelty etc because it suddenly opens up the mind to the idea of gold and silver being money

Why does this matter?
Because people must demand real currency instead of CBDC when the current system falls
Do not underestimate the power of ideas
The idea big pharma can't be trusted is the leverage I have used to inform people in my circles about the dangers of mRNA injections for example

I did not start with the facts, I started with the idea so that the facts would have something to cling to

my motivation is knowing that paper fiat will be worthless as all paper fiat becomes; and the American government WILL switch back to a precious metals standard in the not too far future. I would like to be a very small piece of the very large pie when then government does decide to use precious metals as the base ratio/currency; allowing states to print their own money using this precious metals system. More importantly, I stack because I lovecollecting art and want to own the art forever but unfortanetly the art is only as valuable as the material and emotional weight put into it. I can tell if my silver has that emotional heft that is heavier than the average buffalo silver; because of the artist's passion put into the art

Yeah that is a common story unfortunately
But it is about your personal understanding of salvation/the gospel
The times you go to church don't matter at all, salvation is about what Jesus did for you, not what you do
Do you accept his offer and do you trade your sin for his righteousness? Did he die for your sin?
That is what matter
And the relationship with God is a personal one¨

Come, you rich men, weep aloud and howl for your sorrows which will soon be upon you. lol your misinterpretations of a first century schizo rabbi's words aren't pearls.

He literally said to get rid of all your wealth.

I'm curious how you twist that in your head to mean the exact opposite.

But that is not the case now, we do ofc follow his example, that is why I am being generous with what I have for example, because Jesus was generous with what he had
The situation is different but the example is there to follow

Do you know what "afterlife" means?
Do you understand what a "soul" means?
Do you understand what I mean when I say the soul leaves the body, and all material possessions, behind?

same again.

He told people to follow him in person. And if he ever asks me to follow him in person, I will.
Until then I'm not doing it.

The reason I do follow his example though is because I know he is the truth the way and the life as scripture lays out, I know God because of what Jesus did for me on the cross, the reason he died was for me to be able to stand justified before God
Don't trust me though, research, doubt and question, it is when you honestly seek the truth and doubt you find the good answers, if you dare do a prayer and ask God to reveal himself to you, he will

One last try:
1. You haven't given a verse in the Bible supporting this generalized statement that Jesus said to give away everything we own to widows and orphans so I don't know exactly what you're talking about.

2. I explained the other verse about storing treasures on earth in a way that would probably answer your other question about the widows and orphans which is why I keep asking if you even understood that?

>what do you make of him repeatedly telling his followers to give everything they own to widows and orphans and come follow him?
If you don't mind me answering, what I make of that is that we should trust God instead of materialism
And he was right there and asked them, the Bible show us events from history to learn from, Jesus also told a dead person to rise from the dead, if we are using your logic dead people should refuse to die because Jesus once told a dead person to rise and that must be the only acceptable cannon now, it is not reasonable to think like that and people don't in other settings

the reason people do not want to part with their material possessions is because they think they need them or would be better of with them
There are many rich people blessed by God in the Bible like for example king David
He did not love what God gave them but God himself

I will never in my life own as much silver and gold as David nor will I ever trust wealth to save me, it is just a tool and one I will wield for God in the capacity he allow me to

Salvation is not dependent on me being good enough, it is only dependent on what Jesus did
None of this is at all related to salvation, I could stack for myself if I wanted and still be saved
I don't want to though and I don't care what you think, God knows my heart and as scripture say we should not worry about what man thinks but what God thinks

I tend to agree with you. Giving away everything you own isn't practical. But that doesn't mean a person has to love money.

I do find it interesting that none of jesus apostles had any money though. On 3 occasions he told them to sell something to get money for another purpose. Apparently they actually gave away what they owned.

It's the scripture immediately preceding the one I quoted, among at least a dozen others.

He will not go to hell for being wrong btw, that is not how it works
it is our failure in being perfect that require a savior to begin with, the idea perfection must be maintained assume we were at any point perfect to begin with, his error is just one more that was paid for in the past on the very same cross as the rest, all it require would be his repentance, a word it would be wise to study and understand

Big accusation and it would require knowledge and purposeful intent
The things he can't deny:
The gospel/the good news about salvation
That Jesus is God
That he died and rose from the dead
These are required to understand salvation and who saved you
There is more reward to gain ofc, the riches stored in heaven as mentioned earlier for example, and your choices here can impact your future wealth in that regard even if it can not cost you your salvation

The good news is that despite us not being able to justify ourselves God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ

It is still not a salvation issue, you can be saved without knowing that and you will grow in understanding your entire life, but everyone have to start somewhere, you don't know how long he have been a believer either, what if he came to Christ yesterday?

I'm not talking about goldbacks exactly. They're just useful as a proof of concept because if you can measure $1 worth of gold foil in the area of a dollar bill, you can just as well measure 1 cent in the area of a cent, or whatever other denomination. Case it in 1/16" of polycarbonate and you won't have durability issues.
