BCH halving just happened and the hash just collapsed, hours between blocks.

it doesn't matter. as long as the next block comes the network is functional. it was at this hash rate for the entirety of 2022 and most of 2023. no one cares. waiit until btc halves and then it will go back to ATH.

Yeah. I would like to know what would happen if some miner with a lot of ASICs tried to attack the network? Would more miners come in to defend the chain or would it just basically be possible to attack with more than 50% of mining power? The attacker could obviously be traced and there's no really incentive to just attack and try to destroy for no reason, but IF someone with a lot of mining power wanted to attack the network, what would happen?

>> No.58292566

>>58292528
Mmh, mmh. I'm not against LTC as such. I think they have basically the same ideas of a decentralized blockchain, proof of work, actual use as a currency. So yeah why not hold some LTC and BCH both and let's work together to increase adoption for both, since I think eventually all wallets can swap between them so they can both be liquid forms of currency. Someone wants BCH as payment? Ok, just swap the LTC to BCH first and then pay with that, or if someone accepts only LTC then swap BCH for LTC and pay with that, any way exchanges are happening and not just holding.

Which wallet did you use?

Here is the difference and how BCH works.

BTC has RBF and tiny throughput which means your tx is never save until it is mined into a block.

BCH has enough throughput, no RBF, first seen rule. Which means as soon as the tx has been send the chance to get it mined is basically 100% Which means almost all wallets show you your BCH as soon as they see the tx and you are even able to immediately send it again. Most mutlicoin wallets do not show or allow this (Stake and cake wallet are the exception)

This works fine for every day values. At car or house values it gets a bit more complicated and waiting for a conf is again adviced.

Exchanges are the great exception. They do not seem to care and most use ridiculous amounts of confs until they accept coins.

it can handle more tx's so the money raked in from fees will be greater at a similar use rate to BTC.

BTC users are cheapskates because they cannot even afford a decent hard drive to run a full node and are constantly kvetching about block size.
