wher did you getthis pic of me?? i don't know what you want me to say. LTC is a good coin. I member when he was just a little fledgeling blockchain, getting his first listings. I was there when all the bitcoin miners switched to litecoin. He's a good coin. Always does his hashes quick and doesnt afraid of any layer2s

It stands to replace Bitcoin as a currency because thats actually needed and Bitcoin doesnt fill that role. Its already money, can be spent anywhere visa can and its private. No brainer. BCH too is rocketing but personally Ive found major flaws towards mass adoption so Im expecting it to correct heavily.

qrd? How is litecoin special regarding spending vs just about anything backed by say a crypto.com card? How is it money in any way more than btc is?

ok so heres my theory
4x the supply, far fewer lost coins, 2nd mover
these are all bad
dev dumped, fair launch, strong PoW
these are all good

if btc and ltc were equals one ltc would be MORE than .25 btc, but not even the most delusional among us would believe that

I believe the fair price for litecoin is .005-.01 btc

I think that's where it'll settle. But the first time it breaks that $420 resistance it's going to jump to 2-3k because of the amount of FOMO it'd generate of people wondering if it'll actually get to 1/4th BTC's value.

It's literally Bitcoin, except 4 times faster and has an optional privacy feature that helps with scaling. Fees are 1/10th of a penny. One works as a medium of exchange, the other doesn't. It's not rocket science.

What happens when more people start using Litecoin and users need to start competing for block space just like with BTC? Bitcoin is glacially slow so speeding it up by 4x isn't really a lot

>> No.58274436

Bitcoin was first. By being first, it was the first to be adopted by dissidents like Edward Snowden. That gave it a lot of media coverage during the whole wikileaks thing (which is what freaked Satoshi out and caused him to leave). It kinda grew a network effect that had previously been unmatched in human history. But as far as the code, Litecoin is literally just Bitcoin X 4 with some extra layer 2 stuff.

The MWEB thing increases the 4X scalability that Bitcoin has by a factor of 20. So it's not just 4x as scalable as Bitcoin anymore, it's like 80X on the MWEB extension blocks. Also you can use Lightning on Litecoin (unironically, it works better on Litecoin than it does Bitcoin because opening/closing a channel is 1/10th a penny). Litecoin is just Bitcoin, but better.
