This is the one actual lesson to walk away with, with the other being insider knowledge is key. IRL a penny stock can crash and never go back up. It can be delisted. It can reverse split (combine shares) which generally results in you losing money. The company can dilute the value of stocks by “creating” more shares. With Yotsuba market, these risks were not present. You KNEW that if a stock went to $1 that it WOULD go back up. All risk removed. Insider trading is like this, with the only risk being caught doing it.

So, if you KNOW a stock is destined to go up, not think or guess or feel, but KNOW a stock will go up, it is easy to make money. And if two traders are standing on equal footage regarding knowledge, but trader A has $1,000 to invest while trader B has $100,000 to invest, and they both make the exact same play (example: “I’m buying this stock for $1 because tomorrow it WILL be worth $5”) trader A will walk away with $5,000 while trader B $500,000.
