Depends on the war, if it was something like USA vs China, expect the entire market to get fucked including the defense stocks. The contagion will fuck you regardless of where you are, then bond yields would spike, so your bond funds would get fucked, but if you hold the actual bonds you can just hold till expiration and get exactly what you've paid for.
