Well I've only been at my new job for 6 months and today we got bonus checks. I was given a cool $9k for my efforts. I try and tell you NEET chuds that making yourself valuable to your employer through hard work and loyalty pays off. The boomers were right. Pulling yourself up by your bootstraps works. Quit being lazy basement dwellers and go out there and make something of yourself. I got a bonus check on my first month working there of $100. On my 3rd month there I got a bonus check for $1k, and now $9k after only 6 months. Don't let the Marxist anti-work grifters drag you down.

I second, although I’m a part timer. I’m immensely valuable to my boss because he loses his shit when I get sick or have something important come up. I have only missed one day of work, with a warning btw, since I started there. Under the previous manager I also came in every time I was called in. He just keeps expecting more out of me but deflects when I ask for something like cutting my hours or talking to his boss about a raise. But I’m part time so.

From what I've read, it'll primarily impact heavy vehicles (cars, trucks, farm equipment, etc). It's the largest roll-on roll-off port in the country, meaning it's designed for boats to just pull up and have the vehicles drive themselves off without a crane. Ripple effects would be higher car prices and potentially higher food prices (from farm equipment) or logistics costs from trucking (if it's more difficult to replace trucks and parts, you'll be stuck with older models that are more likely to have breakdowns/faults/etc).

Also, what are realistic returns for sideways?

> Buy VTI on margin
Yoy pay interest on the margin loan while still collecting dividends. Margin interest is tax deductible.

> Buy DITM LEAPS on SPY and roll every two years
Low risk of losing most of your capital. Major risk is high LTCG tax for rolling frequently. Still not bad.

> Buy UPRO or SSO
Low barrier to entry, very liquid, and pretty close to 2x and 3x objective. No tax penalty to hold long term.

> Long ES futures.
Only risk is interest lost during rolling, but otherwise super liquid and 60/40 straddle tax treatment. Only lose interest.

The real danger is that your broker gets hacked or you get divorced or some shit. Don't be greedy, but think positive and focus on getting more money.

Are you guys actually retarded? Miners have huge costs. Just because gold goes up doesn't inherently mean they'll also moon. Look at impala platinum etc. Platinum is only 200-300$ lower and these companies are getting HEEMED. Or Anglo Platinum. Platinum was at 1300, now 900. Anglo went from 125 to 37

Gold royalties like Franco Nevada might profit more off of it, as they just make money because gold is being bought/sold. They don't mine.

>Finally, the indexes differ in how they account for changes in the basket. This is referred to as the formula effect, because the indexes themselves are calculated using different formulae. The details can get quite complicated, but the gist of the matter is that the PCE tries to account for substitution between goods when one good gets more expensive. Thus, if the price of bread goes up, people buy less bread, and the PCE uses a new basket of goods that accounts for people buying less bread. The CPI uses the same basket as before (again, roughly; the details get complicated).

The whole point is to minimize risk. If your balls are larger then 33 - 30 Delta with your sell call and put with a few buy call and puts a few strikes out. Reward is greater but your risk is greater.

This method deliberately understates inflation. If they were honest, they'd use a basket of goods based on tastes and preferences independent of price. you sell a call because you don't think the stock will go up beyond the strike price, but you hood shares so you can deliver shares if you get assigned from the stock going above the strike price.
you can use covered calls in 2 ways:
1. sell calls at or near the money to generate more income at the risk of lower capital gain if assigned
2. sell calls out of the money to get greater capital gain if assigned but for less premium income
so for example if you're building a portfolio of stocks to hold, you might sell a way otm call for beer money with the idea that it expires and the premium is free money. or if you have a fat pile of cash you're trying to live off of, you might sell atm covered calls for income from fat premiums.

What I do when the price is rising is sell a put with the reasonable expectation it won’t fall below my strike price. Now if it looks like I will get assigned i will either roll it forward or accept the assignment and then sell covered calls. (run a wheel). Either way my cash does get locked up for a few weeks. I only do this with cash I don’t need at the moment. I don’t sell on margin.

news:
>french >state-owned company hired by US govt to expand enrichment of uranium in US
>michigan given conditional loan (about $1.5 billion) to restart palisades NPP first successful restart
>newly elected president of eu investment bank (EIB) voices willingness to increase investment into nuclear
>seething "green activitsts" want to revoke nuclear's taxonomy as being green in eu

nuclear energy play to wagmi:
>spot prices pre 2021 were 30$/lb
>spot prices since spiked to 100$/lb and current low is 50$ while median is around 70-80 dollars (this has been priced in since)
>regulatory uncertainty on whether or not uranium will be classified as clean (at least in eu)
>more funding overall secured if so
>china moving into nuclear to meet demand
>largest producer kazatomprom (ticker: KAP) warned that they may not be able be at full production capacity (lack of sulphuric acid)
>due to pandemic and rising economic tensions west is becoming more open to home-sourced uranium

if youre newfag with nuclear and bought into the greens and activist kvetching about dangers of nuclear, know that the waste problem was sorted ages ago and look at france as an example state
>many mines dormant and can be restarted any time to resume production

relevant tickers (this isnt a short term play, youre in it until 2030 at least)
>CCJ (US/canada) (second largest producer and with KAP they have contracts with china)
>KAP (Kazakhstan) (largest producer)
>UUUU (US) (large stockpile of uranium and rare earth minerals mining ops, big potential manufacturer)
>UEC (same with uuuu, well positioned for home demand and export contracts)
bonus pick: Boss Energy in Australia, but my broker has me cucked out of that market

notable risks
>spot price volatility
>aging nuclear fleet
>long time to set up a mine or new NPP
>regulatory risk
>"climate activist" protests
