after that. make sure you have a $10k minimum emergency fund if not already (I am assuming by "I have 30k to invest" that you already have this and 30k is just your brokerage).

As to your actual portfolio construction. start with asset allocation. What % do you want to be in stocks vs bonds. what % in stable & low-risk items vs coomer coinflips. How much money are you comfortable losing in a 1-day trading session. how much time do you have per week to monitor your port and plan buys/sells. You need to answer these questions BEFORE placing any trades. THEN. get in the market and execute your plan. you should not have to think before pressing the button, you should know exactly what you are going to do, do it, then close your brokerage and log out (or stick around for the research features.. but DONT buy or sell without a plan/strategy you think about at least overnight). Over time, you will learn how the market reacts to certain events, be it global events or individual company earnings. my recommendation is you keep the "coomer coinflips" part of your port relatively small at least in the early phases. As you get more comfortable, you may chose to trade riskier assets... or not. it's up to you. good luck. but seriously drop that Red Ch*nese scam broker first.

Put in 10% or the highest amount for your 401k employer matching. Roth 401k preferably. It's going to be some cookie cutter bullshit and you'll want to allocate everything to SP 500 index funds. Next max out your Roth IRA (7k per year). VOO/SPY or VTI. Next put additional money into your individual account. Use a real broker like Fidelity, Schwab (formerly TDA), etc. Not Webull or Robinhood. Open a margin account, and look into options approval if it's something you want to do down the road. Put everything into SPY/VOO or VTI like before.
