Seed Round, Feb-2017: This round was advertised by a tweet and open to the public by downloading a web extension. Dfinity raised CHF3.9 million (US$3.9 million) from 370 participants, at a valuation of $16 million, or a price of $0.03 per token. A lot of them don't but there are malicious dumps that occur where its strategic to prevent the price from going up. It happens a lot and I think it's a defensive tactic from a16z and poly chain since ICP is a threat to the rest of their investments short term. If I was in their shoes investing millions, I would suppress the price of ICP as much as possible until you hit your targets with the other investments exit and go all in on ICP and let it kill the rest of the market.
