If you don't retire by 40, you wasted your life

>> No.58111087

I've been "retired" since I was 26, now 35, and I'm still wasting my life don't worry. Just a new bucket of problems

42 here, still waging, I didn't waste my life though. Could have made it with Bitcoin and stocks if I lived in the US and was able to invest easily, unfortunately I couldn't. Wanted to buy Tesla at $50, Amazon at $12 and Bitcoin in 2010.

bitcoin was like 50 cents in 2010 you're just coping

>> No.58111294

And the thing is like 99% of people that bought at 50 cents would've sold at like $20. Lots of people have made 6 and 7 figs in crypto. But 8,9,10 figs is very rare. Human nature is to sell when unrealized gains start equaling milestone amounts like equal to a year's salary or a house. It takes a special kind of degenerate to hold for the true "fuck you money" gains.

>bitcoin was like 50 cents in 2010
it was basically worthless at the time and didn't have much speculative value, the only purpose was buying drugs, and at that time I was looking for a way to buy $8,000 worth with a debit card, couldn't find a way to do it.

>you're just coping

I knew guys who mined Bitcoin in 2012 for like $10 each and all of them sold by $100.

what if you genuinely like your job? for some people, without their job, they don't know what to do with themselves. they may not have hobbies or stimulating interest like masturbating to anime and playing video games. without work, some people start to mentally decline much more rapidly.

on my end, i agree. i hate dealing with other people and i just want to sit at home all day making hentai games. some people need to get outside and a job gives them an excuse to do that.

maybe I would have sold, I doubt it though, since my crypto journey after missing Bitcoin has been nothing but HODLing to zero and not taking profit.

My WFH job is so comfy/easy and actually fun that I don't think I'll ever retire - maybe just work part time in my 70s. I work in financial tech (Fintech, as it is called) and have a massive impact on financial institutions (mainly banks) around the world. I work with people on every continent besides Antarctica so I get to interact with people from various cultures and backgrounds as well as help banks/institutions in developing countries grow. The work is very rewarding and I actually make a huge impact to these institutions and, thus, the millions of people who use the institutions. I love my job - it doesn't even feel like work. And yes, I'm white

Retirement was always a lie. sorry, kiddos.

if you retire, you admit to the world you are ready to die. Go ahead, if you want. Take hormones to stop your puberty. Get surgery to chop up your dick. There are many options available to you now. You could do those things and you would be considered in the "right". In truth, it was always bullshit. Don't be a pussy faggot, is my advice.
