Been out of crypto for a few years, my Binance account is restricted now because I'm Canadian but luckily I was able to get some of my crypto withdrawn.. Heard KuCoin is the same shit.. Just wondering, is there anywhere at all to trade BTC/ETH into other cryptos these days or are we entirely forced to use CoinBase/Kraken ?

Is every single exchange full KYC now?

non-kyc is incredibly covnvoluted and doesn't seem worth it

bisq is an ok non kyc DEX but enjoy your bank interrogating you over purchases so you lose your deposit

MtPelerin is good except there's daily limits

Hmmm, well I already have the crypto in the form of BTC or ETH, so I don't need to deal with any banks. Unless you mean bisq themselves will hijack your deposits, in which case I absolutely don't wanna mess with something like that

KuCoin hasn’t had any issues so far, Binance shut down but no notices about end of service from them
Idk Kraken is like the only other decent option
Fake and gay country doing it’s hardest to make sure the peoples stay in their place

Kraken still good as far as I'm aware. Still has Monero too. I had to KYC on Binance when they operated in Canada.

no but if you cant complete a transaction (your bank blocks it because you cant explain a payment to some random name) you lose it

in terms of the saftey of your funds within bisq, its pretty airtight and theres mediation processes, its slow though

i dont have the finances to justify using it though

I'm just looking to exchange crypto for crypto.. Like change BTC into AVAX or whatever.. so would that mean banks are not even involved in this then? I'm not looking to do anything FIAT related, I'm just looking to diversify without having to document my lifes story

Ok well jannies here are arbitrarily banning/deleting threads for certain coins (like LOBO) and topics so if anyone is interested in a comfy altchan for discussing said banned coins come on by to sturdy, it has no captcha, bigger filesizes, etc, just a pretty chill experience overall.

Do it onchain

Everything is KYC basically everywhere in the world. Wealth Simple does crypto and allows you to withdraw and deposit, it's probably the safest bet for the last mile. There are now a lot of cross-chain swap services which makes everything else reasonable if you can just get the last mile resolved.

I use Newton and Shakepay to onboard fiat. I've done both for off-ramping in small amounts <3k and it's worked fine. I don't know if I would trust either for large amounts. Both are kyc. Newton has a limited offer of crypto to trade.

Also as for the other services mentioned: I had a lot of problem with most of them as they have weird input validation requirement for things like card or bank details, keep refusing KYC ID's, etc. Additionally a lot of them have pretty low withdrawal or deposit limits, or very high fees. Those are all concerns to think about when comparing.
As I recall I got scammed by kraken once, think I have about 1.2 ETH on there somewhere that I'll never get back for example, so I refuse to get back to it.

if you don't need fiat you can just use a non kyc exchange e.g. mexc

How do do on chain swaps? I have no idea how that works, my crypto is on a Ledger and I use Ledger Live. Is that supported?

at this point the only use for a cex is for onboarding fiat, if kraken works for that like other anons are saying, just onboard, buy what you want if its available on kraken, then transfer to a wallet

for perps, hyperliquid is probably the best perp dex
UX on hyperliquid is identical to a good cex, orders are instant with no noticeable slippage

Why not use Rubic Exchange? It supports trades of 15,000+ tokens on every chain.

MetaMask just partnered with them so you can add the Rubic snap to your MetaMask wallet and swap right from your wallet. You can download this plugin to your wallet straight from MetaMask’s site. No kyc ever and it aggregates over 200 DEXs to find the best rates and routing.

getting restricted from binance because you're canadian gotta be one of the funniest things i've read all day TOPKEK

i dunno about btc/eth but i've been trying paypaw to pay shit using coins like pepo and shit, pretty good, but i'm not sure if that works for you
can you even retrieve your shit from binance or is it like frozen?
