to much risk for me. problem with reddit is the same as the problem with twitter, and really all social media platforms. the existing userbase likes things how they are. if they can't change and adapt without backlash they have no opportunity to grow. another note. fundamentally the value of social media platforms isn't in add revenue, it's in public manipulation. that's how 4chan makes all it's money. you think this place is sustained on 4chan passes and shitcoin ads? lol. 4chan makes money through viral marketing. whether that be creating vtuber boards, letting companies take over the catty whenever a new game launches, or from letting glowies moderate and datamine pol, hiroshimoot gets a kickback from all of them. when conde nast and ghislanne maxwell owned reddit they were able to extract a lot of value out of it that way. as a publicly traded company they won't be able to get away with this sort of stuff nearly as much.
