Is using the EMA Cross on a 9/26 timeframe a valid trading strategy? If so, which timeframe is best suited for this (15m/30m/1h/4h/etc)?

Waste of time. Every strategy seems to work if you adjust the timeframe or find the stock that fits strategy.

but bro i found this tg group where they give you a bulletproof strategy that makes 10-30% profit every month just gotta subscribe for 500 dollar monthly
>unironically had someone say that to me yesterday
>the same person lost 10k some 4 years ago when they fell for some fiat arbitrage bot that they too shilled to me
how these people end up having any money at all is beyond me

Everything that keeps you from panic selling the bottom and FOMOing the top is a valid strategy

EMA Crossover works.
I use the 1-day chart, just close prices.
I use a weighted average of many lookbacks: 2/8, 4/16, 8/32, 16/64, 32/128, 64/256 days.
I apply it to all coins traded on Binance. Pic related is only 50. My real performance is about 75% greater than shown in this graph.

Yeah, that would be over fitting.
I use the same signals on all coins and use a weighted average of many signals.
I always keep the ratio of fast lookback to slow lookback at 4 to reduce the parameter space.

A momentum strategy like EWMAC will tell you to buy the top.

Yes. A simple EMA strategy will also keep you from getting FUCKING REKT on the downside. This idea is quite valuable in a speculative market.

TA isn't a trading strategy on its own. You don't buy shares solely based on the TA "looking good". Instead you should be finding a stock you want to buy based on fundamentals and the usual criteria, then use TA to decide when it's a good time to buy. Those types of strategies should supplement your main strategy instead of being your only criteria.
