I've rarely met someone that factors in all costs and hash rate growth. It's a sad glimpse of mankind.
You should have seen the chia racks people dumped 10-100k on, most of em had not even a shot at paying off the hardware. Then most of them start losing on electric as difficulty increases and try to sell their baby for what they think its worth rather than the market rate.
