thats said every halving cycle and its probably less true than ever. the biggest hit to mining profits wasnt halving it was not buying ASICs right when they launched. people are mining on wholesale, free, or renewable energy now

I recommend you just dollar cost average into bitcoin every week with a amount of money you can make do without for the next 5 years without being in a pickle. If you do this you will probably beat 99% of shit coin gamblers and people who actively try and trade the market. I recommend you watch some of the michael saylor bitcoin videos he does with robert breedlove. Also I recommend you read/listen to the 'bitcoin standard' book. Reading the bitcoin, Ethereum and Chainlink white papers would also be a good exercise to become knowledgeable in this space. Crypto is a unregulated space where scammers can spin up new ponzi tokens in 5 minutes but if you stick to mostly bitcoin and eth you shouldn't lose your shirt. Don't invest money you can't afford to be without in the short- medium term! Or you may be forced to sell your positions at a inopportune time.

Here's my advice :
This board is shit at giving advice. Basically, the general feel you'll get about BTC from biz is :
BTC is only getting 2x or 3x" this bullrun so you're better off with alt. Well, except when BTC is down, alt is down so fucking more. You also have to keep looking at 10+ different chart because you're investing in different coins. When BTC is up there's no guarantee your alt is up. Shit's getting worse when the altcoin is hacked.

So, buy BTC and only BTC. Don't buy any other shitcoins, like Monero (XMR), XRP or Chainlink. BTC ETF is eating available supply like crazy. Soon, there's shortage of BTC, especially on halving. No one can predict the price of BTC at the top

Also, don't fucking forget to DCA out and sell all of your BTC when the market is nearing the peak so you're not left holding bag in bear market.

Remember :
- Don't DCA too slowly when we're in bull market, the market won't wait for you. You're supposed to DCA in bear market.
- Reddit (r/bitcoin) isn't your friend
- /biz/ isn't your friend

Yeah, from what I see, altcoins aren't worth it as much as BTC, Ethereum being an example, taking 2 years to rise 100% in value after the end of lockdowns

I haven't seen many rugpull examples, but the ones I did see happened before the coins hit 1 USD in value. SOL is at 187 USD now, so it doesn't seem likely that a rugpull can happen, but I'm open to be proven wrong

Sol itself wont rugpull but it does go down on occasion. Its the 99% of the coins on the sol network that are shit and almost nothing is worth the risk. Stick with btc and eth and be sure of what you invest in when you do. also the tried and true only invest what you can afford to lose so that way you arent left with no money to pay bills or get food.
