We received the first layout from the mint on what their production of the coin would look like. I present that layout to the people for various bits of feedback, then I go back to the mint for another revision. If we need to go back for more revisions after this one then it will add a bit of time but usually worth it for the best looking coin possible. Lads I got this bar from a LCS a year or two ago, seemed like a pretty standard older bar, maybe it got discontinued because it had the twin towers on it, I know Scottsdale sells the brand these days but they look completely different.

People on eBay seem to be selling them as vintage bars for a moderately significant premium, although I don’t have the inclination to see if people are actually buying them or if they’re just “I know what I’ve got”.

The thread is struggling not because trolls are chasing everyone off, but because interest in the topic is way down allowing trolls to proliferate. Those that remain are mostly numismatists rather than stacking purists, including the trolls. There is no harm in you or me or anyone else leaving, the thread will presumably keep chugging along even after everyone that thinks they matter here is gone. Because even when the core group leaves, there's always people that are curious about metals, or obsessed with them. If anything, the thread would probably benefit by getting rid of every person that thinks they're important to the discussion. The only real loss would be bump frequency, and there's really no law or rule that says this general must be on the board at all times. Recruitment to stacking has very little to do with the presence of this thread, and a hell of a lot to do with price activity and public interest.

From my understanding, it's not actually used for anything and is essentially gambling with other people over whose special digital token is more expensive. I threw £150 at a coin shilled here back in Jan, went up to £700, then down to £300 and seems to be rugging hard whilst people scream at each other to not sell in the various threads.

At least with PMs I've got a tangible asset I can hold and see, unlikely to tank in price as it's been used for millennia and I don't have to worry about clicking some link or some exchange turning out to be a scam.
