Euler's formula is just one of those mathematically beautiful things. Also the natural number e is used to model many rates of growth, including finance. Calculus (differential and integral) are both essential for higher finance, but not strictly needed in day to day traded

algebra is more useful than trig. trig is also easy and can be learned in an afternoon after you have a good grasp of algebra: everything can be derived from a couple basic identities. there is just a handful of trig tricks.

Can anybody logically explain why deflation is inherently bad and not good for the economy etc when in a functioning market it is only logical that prices of goods can increase and decrease like Oil or Natgas did in comparison to 2022. Or all the metals used in cars like Aluminum. They are all cheaper now. So, why wouldn't you be able to lower prices of the goods you create by using those materials if the materials are cheaper. Why should there still be 2% inflation on everything while there is deflation on base materials?
