its just consolidating, basically it hits ath and then ppl sell off of speculation that it will go down at ath, and its slowly dipping less and less until it will dip so low (now) that its not worth the risk of selling

This. /thread.
The same thing happened with 68k and with 67k. Too many triggers are made with these round up numbers. Once the market accepts it it won't go below the barrier for too long.

The better question is who is pumping this piece of shit this slow rather than just bust a nut through the ATH? Really makes ya think, doesn't it?

Let's say I work for Goldman and decide to open a position. I'm not allowed to just buy 20 coins at X value. I have to run a piece of software that will maximise the take by purchasing increments each time the value drops. Even over a short time frame the software will buy a small amount then wait for the micro correction before buying another little chunk. Otherwise my own purchase runs the risk of boosting the cost that I'm paying for my own purchase.

If you wanna see this happen in real time then get yourself access to an exchange and, at the very moment the market opens, see what happens to any traditional stock. All that zipping madness is multiple firms software all competing against eachother in the space of a few seconds. Didn't used to happen 20 years ago.
