Avalanche success ≠ high Avax value. Subnets use their own tokens for gas. Avalanche may perform well as a company but not necessarily as a token.

>>57892438
Validators are needed to run Subnets and Avalanche can scale to millions of Validators and it will have to if it wants to tokenize all the assets in the world.
>Subnets use their own tokens for gas
Subnets will pay their Validators with token emissions or Subnet revenue making running a Validator even more attractive.

The AVAX token is also hardcapped, deflationary and already now most of it is staked or delegated to Validators.
High demand and low supply = Price per AVAX goes UP.

the financial system is fucked. they know it, we know it, they know we know it. Trump or Biden doesn't matter since everything was put in motion 20+ years ago and, barring a miracle, its derailment is unavoidable. the tradfi rats are already scurrying to BTC. the next logical step is DeFi, and we all know ETH doesn't cut it. So that leaves SOL and AVAX, and AVAX is superior in every measure on a technical level. SOL does have good marketing though, and the SBF endorsement gave it the Jew's seal of approval, so there is that.

use 'source_anime' in positive and '3d' in the negative keeps it consistently drawn looking. '3d' in negative removes the 2.5D ai generated look. you could also throw 'sketch' into positive to make it look more drawn.

>>57895959
L2s are centralized and slow, for now at least. Also every L1 can have L2s, so there is still no advantage in using ETH since L2s would function better/cheaper if they finalize on AVAX. also ETH is currently centralized itself due to the merge, Lido and Coinbase almost control 50% of the network. MEV flashbots also controls the network through block propagation, further centralizing it. AVAX doesn't have MEV because it's leaderless.

ICP is heavily centralized, and not actually a blockchain. it's more of an AWS alternative.

Solana is relatively centralized as well and they lie about their numbers, consistently lie. it's why their network is always crashing, because they advertise that they can handle more TPS than their hardware and protocols can allow. Solana avoided using EVM because they know that EVM is inherently slow, but that cripples dapp adoption because devs will find it difficult to move from ETH to SOL, but incredibly easy to move from ETH to AVAX. also they aren't multi-chain, which means they can only scale so much before hitting a hard wall.

never heard of IC3? the initiative for cryptocurrencies and contracts at Cornell?
It was founded years before Chainlink by the Top Researchers in the space, you probably heard of them, Ari Juels and Emin Gün Sirer and the entire thing is financed by the NSF (National Science Foundation, top glowies that made the internet with Darpa, funded Google etc.) and industry partners such as JPM, Citi, Fidelity etc.
So IC3 is were all the top tier Crypto research comes from and where all these Crypto egg heads meet up to discuss whats next.
Ari Juels ended up writing the Chainlink Whitepapers and EGS ended up with discovering the Avalanche consensus with his former cornell students.
Why is that important?
Because the winners are decided early and basically they are the God Protocols and already kingmade.

1. Weren't they planning to remove the requirement for subnet validators to stake 2000 AVAX?
2. Weren't they planning to remove the requirement for subnet-validators to also validate the primary chain?

I remember seeing either Patrick O'Grady or Kevin talk about these upcoming changes on X. If either of these are true then it doesn't matter how many validators there are, it's not directly correlated to how much AVAX is locked.
Also, what is the incentive for subnet-only validators to also validate the main chain? Just extra fee revenue?

>> No.57898276

>>57898160
While I wait for a reply, I'll recount their rationale for proposed changes.
1) Reduce 2000 AVAX staking requirement and replace it with some other completely dofferent kind of requirement, to make validating more accessible to people. It wasn't simply JUST reducing the number of AVAX required to validate the main chain.
2) "Subnet-only" validators will be a thing very soon because some institutions have legal regulations which make it complicated to validate public blockchains ie. the Avalanche primary-chains.

what an absolute fucking retard. Subnet literally just means subnetwork and has been commonly used in multiple IT fields since the 1980s. subnetwork is more or less a spot-on definition of what Avalanche subnets are, that being a network inside another network (primary networks). also nobody is confused by Avalanche's use of the term, it's very clear and only a stupid faggot like Dom would think otherwise, or think they own a term that's been commonly used as shorthand for subnetworks in IT for the last 40 years. can't believe what a clueless arrogant cunt Dom is, imagine buying his bags.
