I have a business economics degree and it wasn't difficult at all. Calculus and statistics are the main midwit filters of the program. The contents often aren't necessarily directly useful but it gives you a lot of tools for solving problems in a business context.

Well it can give you a general idea of what market structure you are in (monopoly, oligopoly etc.), which gives you different models for optimal price setting. Some understanding of macroeconomics is useful to know how central bank policy will fuck you over. Real options theory helps you valuate projects, derivatives are used to guard against things like exchange rate risk, you get random things like linear optimization which is used in production planning etc.
