So it'll affect gas fees but not on mainnet right? Gas fees on L2's are already trivial, an exchange on polygon usually rounds up to a single $US cent.

polygon PoS is not a L2, which is why it's cheap
it will affect real L2s like arbitrum, optimism, zksync, starkware
possibly one order of magnitude ($1 becomes 10 cents, and so on)
