high short interest means something is priced too high
high long interest means something is priced too low

Higher leverage, not higher volume. Shorts are just so much easier to liquidate in current market conditions

Last I remember was a scam wick a few days ago but things just kept marching on. Longs still probably leveraged out the ass.

>How come long squeezes never happen?
The reason is in the name, people that open a long position generally don't care about short term price fluctuations... when the price drops they look at it as an opportunity to buy more at a price discount. By all technical standards any market crash would be the definition of a "long squeeze"... the difference is that the bulls don't care because the majority of them taking long positions don't do it on leverage and don't get liquidated, they just end up holding shares that are worth less than they paid.

According to this liquidation heat map a lot of them are overleveraged though
