I don't concern myself with short-term fluctuations. I want to be holding something that will retain its value for the next ten or twenty years at least, through violent economic upheavals. I have no idea whether bitcoin will or not. I am quite certain about gold and silver. They will still be valuable long after I am dead just as they were long before my ancient ancestors were born.
