Do i risk loosing my coins if i dont have one of these??

>> No.5774527

I like mine a lot. Total security. You have to be a dumbass to lose your coins if they're on a ledger

i unironically only have .05 btc on my ledger since most everything else is in alts, but I like having it on my keychain because it's actually become a pretty good conversation starter when you're sitting in a library or classroom at university and someone notices you have one.

i do have a LOT of ripple on mine though so its good for that

It's a fancy key, you use it to unlock an online crypto wallet, using a secret pin to unlock it

>open ledger, get pin and recovery words
>use ledger to open a wallet, e.g. NEO wallet
>send NEO to said wallet
>now the wallet can only be opened by your ledger with your pin

You don't own the private keys either

>> No.5775140

but if you move it to a hard wallet, does the wallet lock the coins in at that current dollar value?
