Hey. One thing I can tell you is to absolutely under no circumstances ever give up! You can definitely come back from this.

grabs you

Listen. Remember. This is still the beginning of the crypto boom. There's a lot of coins you could invest in now that'll make you lots of money by the end of the year. Remember December 2016? Seems like a joke now right? Just imagine how we'll be looking back at December 2017 after the end of this year. Gotta keep pushing. Keep at it and never stop. I've lost thousands in BTC by doing noob mistakes. In total at least 2 BTC worth. But I'm up considerably from my losses. Why? Cuz I stand up, look life in the face, and DARE it to try and keep me down! Life will do whatever it takes to try and beat you down into the ground. It'll keep yelling "QUIT!...QUIT!!"

Never quit. You can do this. You CAN and WILL come back from this! Keep your head up and stay strong brother.

Why would you use a technology you don't understand. ED isn't hacked the way a centralized site is hacked. If you have your private key you are fine and you can extract the tokens from the ED smart contract via MEW if needed. The "hacker" didn't break ethereum he just did a DNS attack. You're only in danger if you ignored https warnings and sent tokens to the fake contract address or if you got your key stolen. If you weren't a brainlet you would be running a local instance of ED on localhost with the built-in php server and using metamask as anothet layer of protection.

EtherDelta doesn't hold any funds, their smart wallet does. You transferred ETH from Binance to a (presumably) new ETH wallet you made using EtherDelta (wallets aren't hosted anywhere). Then you had to deposit the ETH to EtherDelta's smart contract, because you can't make a binding agreement to trade without the funds being on the blockchain; there would be no guaranteed the funds would still exist when somebody attempts to complete your order.

You can withdraw your tokens from ED's smart contract to your own wallet without a problem.

By the way, you don't hold ETH in MetaMask or MEW or whatever fucking else, you hold ETH in ETH wallets that belong on the blockchain. All of those examples just make interacting with the blockchain easy for retards.

You can't transfer coints to MEW. Like I just said, you can transfer coins between wallets. MEW, EtherDelta, Metamask etc. can be used to create new wallets.

Metamask just makes it easier and more secure for you to interact with websites using a wallet. It holds your private key out of reach of the website and the website can request transactions, which you need to approve manually.

Basically if you never gave your current private key to EtherDelta (or if you gave it but cleared your browser cache afterwards), there's no reason to worry.

I remember creating a new account there.
However I kinda lost access some days later and had to import it. Thats where I had to enter my adress and private key.

Should I get it out?

I got metamask because of etheremons and suddenly etherdelta used it as a new account. Didnt really use it apart from that, thats why I have no idea how things work.

>> No.5780063

I am still going to use this piece of shit site because it is the only way I can get into low marketcap coins. You can do the same with the following simple steps:

1) USE FUCKING METAMASK.
2) have all your funds stored in a MEW wallet completely seperated from etherdelta.
3) Move a small portion of your funds to MM to buy whatever shitcoin you want.
4) After buying, immediately withdraw said shitcoin to your MEW.
5) If you did not lose your money during any of the above steps, repeat.

This way, if you do lose your funds, it'll only be a small portion and you fucking deserve it for using a shitexchange like ED. I am fully prepared to lose whatever I deposit and so won't be emotionally traumatized if my shit disappears. Key is to only move SMALL PORTIONS OF YOUR TOTAL PORTFOLIO FOR ANY PURCHASE YOU WISH TO MAKE AT ANY GIVEN TIME AND IMMEDIATELY WITHDRAW TO MEW.

I've been in the game for awhile and might have linked mine back in june or something. I checked out my transaction history and NOPE'D the fuck out.

Idk homie idk just be safe rather than sorry.
I want to say that as long as you never gave them a private key you are good. However fuck this, I'm not losing shit.

Yeah it is not nothing and more than I ever had on my bank, but not a real lot. Still 50x from a million. I will just start over with what I have left. There is still money to be made, especially if you are willing to take some risk. Will be a lot better about my security this time though.

I am going to sleep guys, good luck. Be sure to get rid of all your ED ties, I consider them completely compromised after reading through this thread and various forums. Apparently the original owners sold the site and the new owners are Chinese scammers trying to get as much low hanging fruit as they can. Evident from the 60m$ ico they are doing now, the DNS hack all of a sudden and now this random stealing of coins. Get out or if you know what you are doing keep at I guess. Ed is a real opportunity, sadly it went down the shitter.

Good night bros

I have 1 account/adress directly from etherdelta and 1 from metamask
I have 2 different coins on the etherdelta account
And about 3different coins on the metamask account

What do i do now? I have no idea how metamask works.
Withdraw it all to my metamask account? Do i need to create a new token for all coins?

>> No.5782819

so whats the consensus?

ED moves to a new domain and freaks everyone out a couple of months ago, at the same time there are also some hackings going on.

then now there are reports that the guy sold ED to someone nobody knows who, and right after the site gets "hacked"?

is there any proof the site was even sold and this isn't just some exit scam by the original dude?

Bro I can't help
Only because I don't know how to use meta mask. Never used it, part of the reason I made moves to secure myself.
If you never directly gave ED you're MEW private key by linking you're MEW directly with their UI and only transfered from MEW to a seperate wallet made on ED you very well may be totally
okay. I am 0% sure either way.

I'm a brainlet so please clarify. I only sent tokens from my MEW wallet to the wallet on ED that was created upon "registration" the first time. Is my MEW somehow compromised?

Cryptospace is shady as shit. Exchanges getting hacked and hackers using the exchange to inject malware into whoever visits is a real possibility.

Get a second laptop that is always disconnected from the internet, except when you need to transfer funds.

i have a question, and i got shit on this on another thread, but please help. i bought 700 drgn on ED a month ago, and i dont think i got them out. yet when i search my wallet , they show up as a token. does this mean they are not stored on etherdelta? im scared to log in to ED and try to move them.

They're stored on your ED wallet, send them to a new address created offline via MEW and you'll be fine

can you look at this wallet and tell me if i got them off ED? since they show up under the tokens section, or do they show up under tokens even when they on ED?

>> No.5786120

You guys are panicking for no reason. There is no way for etherdelta to know your private key, it is only stored locally. Unless the new owners change the website to broadcast your private key to their servers, which someone would probably have noticed by now.

If you are really paranoid, use metamask, or look at the etherdelta source code yourself. You can see exactly what it is doing...

The way it got hacked before was that the DNS was hacked pointing you to the scammers website which contained code to send your private key back. It only worked if you imported your private key into the hacker's website. Now they switched to a CDN so its much less likely for them to get hacked.

So if you are using the same address still from back then you should obviously change it but there is no reason to worry now especially if you use metamask, since there would have to be a bug in metamask for your key to get leaked.

Anon those are still on the ED exchange.

1. Go to the DRGN contract page on ED
2. Select the Withdraw tab and withdraw all your DRGN tokens, this will send them back to your specific ED wallet
3. Once withdrawn, select the Transfer tab and send them all to a new ETH address generated by MEW (or something else as long as it's a ETH address and not an exchange)

We must migrate to KuCoin, goys. Kucoin's total daily trading volume is sitting at a tiny $32m compared to Binance's $2.8b and Binance is only 5 months old. Kucoin has grown 800% in the last 60 days and it's aggressive listing of new unknown coins such as BNTY and DBC is going to be a major contributor to this growth. We're at a point now where normies are seeing this: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/kucoin-shares/ or https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/deepbrain-chain/ and scrambling to get onboard with the moon missions.

How do you take advantage of Kucoin's growth? KuCoin Shares.

Anon, what the hell are KuCoin Shares?

KuCoin is dead serious about being a major force in the exchange world. They want growth and they want it fast - to facilitate this they're offering dividends in the form of trading fees to their investors. 50% of the entire trading fee revenue on the Kucoin platform will be shared daily with those holding KCS on their exchange. This is a two-fold investment with ridiculous growth potential as a result, you buy KCS, the exchange grows, your KCS rises in price, and the amount of dividends you are generating grows with it.

Details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NolXWUOalQ [Embed] [Embed]

My current plan is to ride our /biz/ alt-coin profit and reinvest into KCS down the line. See you in 2020 when I'm still holding and living off my dividends, I hope you are there with me.

Kucoin's referral system is genius too; you are rewarded some % of the trading fees that your invitees take on. If I shilled you into this Godcoin please consider using my referral code when signing up if you don't have a Kucoin account yet:
