the hard part for me is having the money when I need it. I'm into gold rather than silver but sometimes when you want to buy good lots of good stuff for close to spot you need to pay like 10,000 for multiple pieces. often when deals come up I don't have the cash ready because good deals are gone fast.

I see. I spent my twenties doing LOTS of drugs and jail time so I'm priced out of gold this cycle. I only pull like 50 a year if you include the stipend from my family so we're operating on two different playing fields. I do know the feel of missing out though. My main silver plug got some englehardt 100 oz bars in a few weeks back and wants 2600 each. Fuckin my other plug let me hold a suisse 10 oz gold bar, in its assay case, the week the bank got into their shit and was like watch these skyrocket.
>"You ain't nobody until you have a 10 oz gold bar."
Man I tell ya, PMs really get me excited!

I remember a post a few nights ago. Mans said "bill holter was rumored to have sold a Walton woman 50m in gold"
Now that guy is a based libertyandfinance listener.

bill holder and Andy schectman are literally marketers for precious metals dealers so you need to be very skeptical of what they say. >I'm priced out of gold this cycle.
The thing is gold always goes up and you'll find it here and there for good prices if you look for it. gold always goes up so the premium you pay will be wiped out over a long enough timespan.

Canada is a relatively unproductive country with a lot of resource extraction. Our two industries are colleges catering to indians that want citizenship and oil extraction. We really have no other industries here.

I work for a Jew-Illuminati NGO that gets funding from the government -- so I'm safe. But lots of people here are really struggling because of the high inflation. apartment rents are at 100% of after tax income in most of the country these days.

if the price of gold or silver went up that much it would cause a inflation spiral which could destroy the financial system

its paper money revolutionary france printed to try and avoid bankruptcy
at first they were backed by the land they confiscated, then they got made into legal tender. then billions got printed, hyperinflation, they had to make laws to set the price of bread, guy behind the manufacture got executed and the minister of finance who pushed them suicided in jail. they then printed Mandats, another paper money initially based on land, the land ran out, became literally valueless a year in.
BEFORE that, in 1716, they also tried paper money, which ended horribly

you can buy these bits of paper for cheap, but if you want to buy their coin equivalents, those have kept their value

correct. High inflation signals failing currency and can trigger hyper inflation. Suppressing the price of gold prevents hyper inflation by making low gold prices a signal of low inflation.

Bitcoin is a scam because bitcoin is nothing. Gold is a monetary metal because it is a COMMODITY and all commodities have value and gold has a high value because it is the most desired metal for various reasons.

You have to ask: when people pay for bitcoin what are they getting? A bitcoin right now is 82,000 Canadian dollars. For the same price I could get 4 second hand gold rolexes, an ounce of gold, a BMW with a body kit, or 3 years of living expenses most places in the world.

When you pay 82,000 CAD for a bitcoin... what do you actually get and why is it worth more than pic related?

*a kilo of gold -- not an ounce. That kilo will always go up in value because:

1. All commodities have monetary values and gold is a commodity

2. commodities always go up in value as long as credit is expanding the monetary supply. More money means more money competing for the same amount of stuff means prices go up

Do you not know how airdrops work? Kind of shocking in this day and age.

Do you understand dividends and interest? When us boomers were in 3rd grade you could bring pennies or dimes into school one a week and a bank representative would stop by and collect all the deposits and record them in our passbook (like a bitcoin ledger but by hand and not public) then once a month pay interest on the balance about 5% apy, same as now, so yeah airprops work the same way but are not on a calendar basis, like today and yesterday I got 6 0ne ounce gold airdrops per bitcoin so much better than 5% apy. That size coin, about 4/10 troy oz of cupronickel backs the minecraft notes. (Coins weigh slightly under that), but my minecraft note system is based on the british shilling system right when they switched to cupronickel. 1 shilling of CuNi is 1 minecraft, that coin there is equivalent to the 2 minecraft bill.

There's something to be said for lots of the same, for when going to sell. It's pretty straightforward - just find out what the value of one is and multiply.
I did the opposite. I now have 1,010 items of unique design/issue. I'm contemplating the scenario if/when I or a descendant will go to sell. Each item will have to be assessed individually. That's a daunting task. Fortunately, I keep a spreadsheet so heirs will at least have an idea of initial relative value for each item.
BTW... that is an impressive and gorgeous stack of bars you have there.
