plebbit isnt a meme shit scam. its genuine novel design for p2p social media protocols with no https endpoints while maintaining scalability, NFTs (avatars) and ENS (for optional usernames) which has never been done before.
show me a competitive design to plebbit with no https endpoints or ssl certs, that has all the features of plebbit. there is little that competes with it.

i always laugh at how biz shits on one of the only biz projects that is opensource, free to use, scalable, decentralized p2p social media protocol with no https endpoints.
it also has a 100% airdropped supply, 1 year of sideways and no scam VCs...show me a competitor project with those stats. there is nothing like this imo.

plebbit is just the protocol.
the main dev said hes open to changing the name if everyone votes for it unanimously in the DAO. it just takes a lot of work renaming al lthe code (all variable names subplebbit etc).
there are also different clients with different names
for example, the 4chan front end is called plebchan and the old reddit front end is called seedit.
its likely that the protocol will have other front ends like discourse or vbulletin with their other names.
other protocols may or may not use centralizing DNS (.com or .eth etc).
the project is also opensource so if you dont like the name u can just clone it and rename the client as you wish.

the idea is that the 'plebs' are we the people. the masses. the disenfranchised. the censored etc.
its a grassroots opensource development.
however, as stated above the name isnt static either for the protocols or the eventual 100+ front end clients that will inevitably be built using the protocol.
