Genuinely what is the point of stocks? They say it's to raise capital but how cuckish is that? Imagine you are holding stock in a company and actually you're just waiting for them to inflate more shares onto you to raise more capital. Is that good utility?

Stock is a way of legally defining "ownership" of an institution. Dividing stock into shares allows multiple people to own a company together with a high degree of clarity about the details: how much of the profits each person should get, how much influence each person should have over the company, and so forth.

There are other ways to organize a business, but this style seems to work well. It's good when business partners have clear expectations about what they're entitled to rather than fighting over every detail and constantly being suspicious of each other. It's good when an owner of a business can cash out in small increments rather than being forced to make an all-or-nothing decision. It's good when someone is able to buy a tiny fraction of a business.

Your stock splits so you get more stock having bought before hand. Different from when your crypto dilutes and dumps without given holders the proper allocation.

That's actually an intelligent question. Nice. My take is, it's a way to determine ownership of a company, raise money for it and also to scam normies out of their bucks.

Diluting shareholders to raise capital can be good or bad. It depends on how much dilution, how the company would use its new investment capital, the company's other options, what sort of investment you'd prefer to own, etc.
