Hash rate is at an all time high. Since it's merge mined with doge, they essentially share a network. As long as doge is alive, litecoin will be alive. Doesn't mean the price will go up though, but the network will continue to be strong.

The problem ultimately with Litecoin is the VC smart contract platforms. Nobody cares about "sound money", they are more interested in "where is wall street going to allocate". It's retails job to not fall for that, but they are showing that cypherpunk ethos are not that cared about, they just want institutions to buy their bags.

yeah its not a bad place to buy, the downside risk is very low, but i think theres a reason its not pumping like everything else - its a dead chain
it will probably pump if we go full bull market this year, but only because it will be dragged up with the rest of the market, not because of any inherent value of ETC

im not sure man my problem is i keep researching projects and coins and too many things sound good. my portfolio is shit because its like small amounts of 50 different things. i put a decent amount into privacy oriented networks because i think when people realize how tyrannical the police state can be when it cracks down to block or censor digital commerce not under its control they will flock to secure decentralized private forms. to be honest most of my portfolio is in XMR and im taking the bet that eventaully people in bitcoin will realize its one giant public easily censored network and XMR has the same tokenomics but true privacy and can be bought in person with cash or barter. i like the idea of MASQ and ATOR but those are speculative and im waiting to see if they can deliver on the concepts. im a fan of the T (threshold) project too its for defi and helps people move bitcoin into other chains like ETH. also Lumerin sounds exciting. for more mainstream normie tier appeal and likely gains i think BCH is probably set to do pretty well. BCH and ETC will probably make huge sympathetic gains if you see an ETH rally after SEC approval of an ETF listing in march. im not rich and havent made it so im not giving you financial advice just research things yourself i would feel bad if someone lost money because of what i said so dont sell your XRP. you dont have much anyway might as well keep it as a side bet. but i would keep adding ETC. stay away from memecoins and shitcoins your portfolio looks nice and even if you have down time you wont be wiped out like 99% of /biz/ who will be holding worthless ponzi trash like niggershibaELONhatCUMROCKET coin

XMR is a good coin, one of the best.
I agree with you about XMR and its relevance considering western demoncracy's steadfast progression towards tyranny.
BTC is excellent for public funds, so the people could monitor and audit their own state, without having to depend on the state to audit itself, which it never will to its own disadvantage.
Monero being excellent for private use between citizens of an authoritarian state who do not consent to extortion by their state via tax.
I am analyzing the charts of MASQ and ATOR. ATOR looks promising so I may further research as you suggest.
I will look into Lumerin too.
I am not interested in shitcoins and memecoins.
I would buy Monero but it is only compatible with trezor through monero gui wallet and I am not keen on that I would prefer all my portfolio be in a cold wallet.
What wallet do you use for your Monero?
Do you have anything to say about Litecoin?

>> No.57686667

>>57686601
yeah i like litecoin for the reasons stated above. it has a privacy option which is of the utmost importance for financial transactions in my opinion. thats why i collect litecoin too. dont just analyze the charts of those projects you need to think past price. read what the project actually does. remember bitcoins price was pretty much flat for 3 years. it takes a while for people to recognize the value of things. just because the price is low doesnt mean its bad or wont go up later. try to read about the teams and study the people if possible. some of those privacy projects are not very transparent because creators are afraid of being persecuted by the government but whenever you can, bet on the people. a few of those projects i gave you are in their infancy and it remains to be seen if anything will come of them so dont go buying them up just yet especially not before research. ATOR for example has a lofty goal of eventually torrifying the net for people and creating a network of hardware like a router adapter that will automatically run the users internet through TOR so all your network devices are TOR'd by default without having to run apps or programs on the device. obviously they dont have the hardware created yet i think thats far out on their roadmap. the MASQ team already has a browser out which is cool.

im trying to think of what else ive come across recently that i liked. going to grab a beer hang tight

>> No.57686681

>>57686601
The monero on trezor in the GUI wallet is cold storage. The seed is generated offline and funds cannot be moved without the hardware.

torrifying the net and auto-torring entire devices would be extremely useful.
i just grabbed a ginger ale and some guac & chips.
How high do you think Litecoin will go this cycle? I am thinking maybe 450 as a conservative estimate.
What are your thoughts on pic-related?
Do you think we can expect a $1T market cap at this cycle's peak?
I am very optimistic about the upcoming bull run, do you think this will be the biggest one to date?
Do you think institutions will put it down early with their newfound influence over the market through the ETF?

As a litecoin enthusiast, not a chance in hell unless a loaf of bread ends up being $500. I think it hitting previous all time high should be pretty easy. If it breaks it, might see price discovery around $1000. But it should be an easy 5x from here. You'll have to wait until macro conditions change though. This market is just institutional investors. Retail hasn't entered yet.
>>57686898

i dont know im not too bullish on crypto in the short term i think this year is going to be a dump year. people are out of money from inflation and starting to get unemployed and we are heading to a financial crisis. i think once the stimulus comes back after the next great falseflag or govt created catastrophe to give the fed reserve their public justification to lower rates again then we will see people get flush with cash again as they sell their homes and take out more HELOCs and go back to degenerate financialization again

It had a fairer launch than Bitcoin did. Charlie mined 2 blocks to see if it was working then launched. Beyond that Charlie bought/mined his coins like everyone else. Satoshi mined 50,000 blocks pretty much by himself. Charlie also bought bitcoin at $5 in 2011. I don't think he was hurting for money and had to come up with a scam, I think it was just something he did for fun

Bitcoin is monetary technology, network effect not functional properties dictate it's value, calling BTC and LTC the same is like calling the USD and the Zimbabwe dollar the same
