Yep, they actually increased BTC’s value. I sure hope you bought beforehand.

Correct, it is now holdable by tech-illiterate boomers via their traditional brokerages. Did I say boomers? I meant rich boomers who hoard most of the world's current wealth.

What, Bitcoins? If that's what you mean, you're wrong. They don't hold any Bitcoins. And no, the ETF will not pump the price nor is the ETF why BTC has pumped lately which you'd know if you had been looking at the chart. ETF talk is noise.

An ETF is inherently bad for Bitcoin and for crypto as a whole. Very, very, very bad. It will be used to "tame Bitcoin"; to control its price to ensure it doesn't properly pump (meaning preventing it getting to 200k, 300k, 500k etc and perhaps even preventing a new ATH), or only allowing to pump within a certain range, or dumping it down to absurdly low levels which it never would've gone to otherwise (like sub 1k; the market would never allow that to happen; under normal circumstances sub 1k would be impossible, but with an ETF it becomes possible). There's absolutely nothing positive or bullish about an ETF for Bitcoin. The most bearish thing that can happen to crypto is Bitcoin having an ETF.

That was a real concern with paper futures. A spot ETF is objectively more bullish. It is at the whims of its holders. If a million boomers decide to put FBTC in their 401k then Fidelity is forced to buy the corresponding amount of bitcoin. They have no incentive to suppress the price. Nothing brings in more retail speculation and therefore fees than the price pumping.

How can you “tame” something with a permanent fixed supply? This shit isn’t like gold or silver. Face it, we are going parabolic

you know i've always had a pretty deep understanding of cryptocurrencies and how they work and even i can't make heads or tails of what you just said you're literally talking about wait a minute are you trying to tell me that you think a fixed supply can't be regulated did i get that right look let me take a step back and get really really basic with you fixed supply by definition means the number of units in circulation will never change - unless they use some sort of tokenization which is extremely unlikely
