It's faster/cheaper to use than BTC and LTC (0-conf, DSPs, unlimited unconfirmed chains)
Has beyond good enough privacy with CashFusion, admittedly doesn't beat XMR here, but it's optional privacy.
CashTokens (native utxo miner validated tokens) now let's it compete with ETH/SOL. CashTokens is over 1000x more efficient than ETH, and unlike SOL, BCH has never had downtime kek. CashTokens is not quite as flexible as EVM, but flexible enough for most use cases.

There's also some block compression/propagation tech in the works called XThinner and Blocktorrent which will improve the (already great) decentralization even more.

Kaspa has no smart contracts and will struggle massively for adoption as money because of it.

There is concrete development going on. 10 BPS testnet was released a month ago. They're going to test it for a few more months before pushing it to mainnet. The base layer has to be perfected and proven to be robust and reliable before adding a smart contract layer. The team is taking the time to solve the trilemma correctly so they aren't rushing smart contracts right now. I think Kaspa will be worth enough in 5 years for mining to still be profitable by then.
